We found La Valletta Relais on a winding country road just outside Bergamo Alta and were immediately charmed. It’s nestled on the side of a hill with views over the gorgeous countryside. The building itself is stucco, stone, and wood, architecturally interesting inside and out, and beautifully kept. It’s also the home of Graziella and Mario Reguzzi, the owner/innkeepers who...

Currently staying here 16-23 July. Great location roughly half a mile outside Bergamo but an easy walk. Couple of local restaurants nearby & more in the town centre. Had a large room with balcony area which was tremendous. Warm but air con worked well. The owner Mario has excellent English and couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant . Has...

We where met at the airport by the owners who drove us to the hotel it did cost an extra €20 but it was well worth it. The hotel is some 20 minutes away by car from the airport On arrival at the airport we found it was very clean and we were welcomed into the hotel by the owner...

Gorgeous, gentile home offering 8 pleasant rooms all with views down to Bellagio. Mario and his wife were most helpful and served lovely breakfast on the outside, shaded terrace. Excellent espresso on request. Use Mario's offer to shuttle you down and back to the old city gate each day. We stayed 3 nights for our wedding anniversary, spending a day...

This small family run hotel is a perfect place to stay if you like peace and green countryside whilst visiting Bergamo. Just 15 minutes walk from the city alto, (there is a free shuttle offered by the hotel for those who don't wish to walk). We received a warm welcome from Mario and his wife, the room was immaculate and...

My wife and I celebrated our our Silver wedding anniversary by spending three nights in La Valetta. We booked a suite and what a good decision that was! The views over the valley from our veranda were stupendous. Our hosts, Mario and Graziella, were the most gracious and accommodating couple you could wish for. Our suite was spotlessly clean and...

We think LV is one of the best 3* hotels we have ever stayed in (call it a small hotel or a b&b - the result is the same). Basic room but large, high ceilings and spotless. Nice big bathroom. Lovely peaceful view over the adjacent grassy knoll - very peaceful. Breakfast on the terrace is a delight and whilst...

What a fabulous place. The owners could not have been more friendly and welcoming. The room and amenities were spotlessly clean, well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast was a little boring, but that was more than compensated by everything else about La Valletta Relais.

I decided to have a tattoo by a Bergamo artist. Since I live in Belgium, i decided to take my best friend along and make it into a little city trip. Bergamo is a town at the foot of the mountains. Staying in town didn't really interest us, but we didn't want to be too far away from the centre...
