What a view! What a place to start our vacation. This hotel was an amazing way to start our vacation. We drove directly from the Milan airport to the hotel. The room was spacious. The view was incredible. The bathroom and shower were perfect. The breakfast was one of the best we had during our vacation.
We had a car and just drove ourselves into Bellagio, but the shuttle looked convenient. After several hours of touring around Bellagio on one day, we just went back to the hotel and sat by the pool for a couple of hours. Lovely and relaxing. Almost a dream setting.
I think it was just coincidence, but both nights of our stay there were amazing fireworks out on the lake. Thank you for a wonderful start to our vacation.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during our honeymoon, and it was a beautiful hotel. The rooms were so spacious and large, very unlike anything else you will see in the rest of Italy or Europe. The beds are also so comfortable! The check in process was also smooth, but felt a bit rushed.
The rooms had a kettle with tea, but not a coffee machine or any instant coffee which was weird. The toiletries were great, however the towels were extremely thin. The balcony in the junior suite with lake view was lovely, but although very spacious, the layout felt a bit awkward, and the balcony was not private at all, as you could see and hear all other guests on your balcony. Felt a bit awkward, the rooms on higher floors with smaller balconies looked better in this regard.
Staff was very friendly and helpful when needed. The breakfast was not great and the breakfast area almost felt like a school cafeteria, and food was not fresh or replenished after 9/9:30am, although breakfast was until 10:30 I believe. The breakfast needs significant improvement.
The location is great if you have a car, otherwise they do offer a shuttle service for a small fee, which we did not use. Otherwise the Bellagio town center is about 7 minutes driving distance. We found having a car in the area much easier especially as there is ample parking in the town center.
In terms of payment, usually hotels charge the card you provide them, or pre-charge a card a few weeks prior or whenever is agreed upon at the time of booking. We had booked this several months prior, and left a credit card down. However, about 2 weeks prior, we were called several times while travelling and were told payment needed to be provided, which was very strange as every single other hotel we've been to either pre-charges the card provided to them through a secure website at booking, or takes payment at check in.. not through the phone few weeks before, unless there was an issue with the card which there was not. It felt a bit annoying that they did this, as they would call at not so convenient times. It also felt weird that they were calling to get credit card information.
Overall was a beautiful hotel with good value for the price you pay for the area, however I don't think I would return just based off my experience.

Lovely hotel. We stayed here as part of our honeymoon. The hotel staff were great and very helpful with any questions we had. Food and drinks were good although not much choice with regards to food, but enough. Great location in Bellagio. The hotel runs a shuttle bus which costs €5 per person per day which is super helpful and is very reliable, on time on all occasions. Great view of lake como from room and nice size swimming pool. Breakfast included was nice, sausage, bacon, eggs (fried, scrambled and boiled). Also croissants, fruit, yoghurt, cheese, ham etc. Overall, very pleased with the hotel and would definitely recommend.

My Husband and i stayed at this charming boutique in May and were blown away by the views, value and service at this boutique hotel in the heart of Lake Como!!
The staff at this hotel is attentive and was also very helpful in recommending a driver from MXP and helping book dinner reservations prior to our arrival.
The rooms are oversized by European standards and the complimentary breakfast each morning was amazing! All fresh food and wonderful cappuccinos!
The hotel is apx a 10 minute drive into town but you do not need a car as they have a courtesy shuttle that runs regularly. Just make sure you let me know in advance when you are needing a ride :)
The best thing about this charming hotel is the views and waking up everyday to these views.......
We cannot wait to come back to your beautiful city!!!
Thank you again!

We arrived at the hotel with great expectations. Beautiful photos on the website, in reality, not very friendly staff. They put us in a room that looked like an apartment and if we used the dishwasher we had to wash it or pay for it to be washed. Into the room came an animal like Fede Fede. I had to leave everything closed. The view of the lake is beautiful. By the way, the lake is beautiful!!! Very bad to move around there. Because it has a restricted area. The hotel van has to be scheduled to pick up and drop off. And leave it close to the center. Otherwise you have to do it on foot. The hotel is far from the center. Breakfast ok. The bathroom floor is slippery. I was sad because it was my birthday there and my expectations were not met.

I found this hotel on Tik Tok a few months ago and was blown away by the beautiful view of the lake! We walked in to bellagio following the instructions for day one and they were perfect! We used the shuttle daily (the drive around Bellagio is NOT for the weak. If you are anxious about driving in Italy, find a boat , train and taxi to get here!). They had free parking for our rental car and it stayed parked the whole stay lol! The shuttle is $5 per person per day and absolutely worth it. The front staff was friendly and rooms were clean. The views from the rooms and terrace to eat were unmatched. We went to several of the suggested dining options and all were great! Nandos was a good casual pizza option and we went to the restaurant in hotel Belvedere for a tasting menu that was fantastic. Overall wonderful hotel - I will be recommending to many friends and family members!

Excellent hotel with beautiful views! This was our second stay in Italy on our recent trip and the best hotel we stayed at in our 3 week journey. The hotel was in a gorgeous location, just outside of the town of Bellagio and within easy walking or shuttle distance (10 Minutes). We were greeted by Valentina, who previously worked in Tennessee; she was incredibly sweet, helpful and kind. Not only did she give us all the necessary information but personally walked us to our room which was large and comfortable with gorgeous views of the lake and had a large walk out patio/terrace with table and chaise lounges. This is a must stay if your going to Lake Como!

The access to the hotel is via relatively obscure road off SP583 road leading to Bellagio. After negotiating sharp turns and very steep access path to the hotel you can either park in the open car park, further down, or in the covered car park with a daily charge of €10.
There is a swimming pool on the side with great views though it’s a bit cramped, especially if you prefer the shade.
The hotel provides a shuttle, at €5 per person per day that takes you to the centre of Bellagio. But you need to book or phone in advance as there are only eight seats in the bus.
The reception is just on the left from the entrance and there is no real lounge in the hotel.
Our Junior Suite with Lake Views was on the top floor in the main building above the reception. We had an unparalleled view over Lake Maggiore from our large balcony. Our spacious and bright room had a double bed, plenty of seating but not that much wardrobe space, especially drawers.
The dining room was very basic although most of the action was happening outside, in the covered area. We dined one night at the hotel and even though we were told the restaurant was fully booked, only three tables out of a dozen were taken throughout the evening. The food was distinctly unimpressive, with sausage-meat lasagne and bland pasta dishes. A great opportunity for a decent restaurant, with fabulous views, has been missed here.
The bar closed at 10 pm.
Breakfast had a good variety of foods though the mix did not change for the duration.
It is a family-run place and the staff were fantastic, very helpful and attentive.
Overall, Hotel Borgo has great potential although, sadly, unrealised. With such great views and the commanding position above the lake this should really be a prime venue. Still, for a three star hotel it is more than good enough.

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your kind review. We know that Borgo le terrazze has - just as you say - a great potential. Though this is not unrealized but - STILL to be realized. There is nothing to be sad about. As you say we are a family run Hotel. We opened last 2009. Ever since we made improvements and worked as hard as possible to have them realized. We are looking forward to many more new things to come, yet we are not rich enough to make our Hotel a prime venue with a snap of fingers. I am 52 and my Husband is 55, and we are really proud of our work. Thank you for sharing our visions, we look forward to welcoming you soon again, Warmest regards, Elena Ponzini

What a pleasure to stay in this place with such a magnificent view, a rare calm, the rooms overlook Lake Como and you can enjoy staying for hours watching the spectacle.
The rooms are spacious and the bedding is pleasant although you can feel the separation between the 2 beds which are pushed together.
The swimming pool and breakfast also benefit from this magnificent setting and the entire hotel team takes great care of us.
The fact that we are a little out of the center of Bellagio allows us to be quiet, a shuttle is available to drop us off there in less than 10 minutes but the short walks on the hiking trails are very pleasant!
Small downside, it is a shame that the hotel allows certain drivers from outside the establishment to sit with hotel guests to be on the phone and talk loudly and break this pleasant calm..

We had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Borgo Le Terrazze on a trip through northern Italy. The views are spectacular from any location at the property. We dined at the hotel several nights just to enjoy the views from the patio area. The staff were exceptional and always friendly and accommodating. We were made to feel welcome at every turn and just fell in love with this hotel. The hotel is clean, nicely decorated, and offers a delicious breakfast which is included with your stay. You can also dine at a cost for lunch and dinner and enjoy amazing views from the patio area or your own balcony! The food was simple but delicious and fresh. The room offers wifi, coffee in your room and a small mini fridge to store water or take out. There is a pool onsite as well to enjoy the sun or a swim. The center of Bellagio is about a 1 mile walk or you can schedule the shuttle ahead of time. Would definitely come again!
