We have just stayed in the Hotel Florence for 4 wonderful nights.
We had suite room 26 which had a marvelous 2balconies overlooking stunning Lake Como.

I've just returned from 3 nights at the Florence - having had a short trip to Bellagio with my mother. It is a lovely old hotel, full of character with a great location on the lake road (but very quiet and peaceful) with fantastic views...More
This was my first trip to Italy, & hands down Lake Como was one of the most spectacularly beautiful places I've ever been. I can't think of any other place I'd like to visit again & I'd highly recommend the enormously charming & authentic Hotel...More
What can you say about a hotel that's been around for over 100 years? It's very charming, perfectly located in a wonderful town. Small, but beautifully decorated rooms. Tiny bathroom without a shower - they really should change some of the bathtubs for showers for...More

Both are quite different. Bellagio is about an hour on a very windy road (although you might be better off to catch the ferry). Cernobbio (we have stayed there too) is probably better described as part of greater Como. When we stayed there we caught the ferry to Como and walked back to our hotel there (Regina St Olga). Bellagio has a certain charm that Cernobbio doesn't have. I've probably confused you - sorry. Stay at both!!!

Yes, there is free parking near the Hotel Floerence but it is very limited and fills up very quickly. I 've waited a day for one to appear and then left the car there for three days. There are about 12 places within 150 yards. Chris at the desk can inform you about a parking lot a half hours walk from the hotel. The walk is a great way to get exercise and become more familiar with Bellagio.
