Room 410 on fourth floor had excellent view of the lake with windows that opened. The room is very small and dominated by an enormous bed which is actually two singles pushed together so an extremely uncomfortable ridge along the centre. Towelling robes and slippers were a welcome addition. The shower is also very small, the kind you will find in budget hotels. The toilet is right beside the window with a small basin and a small area to place toiletries, tooth brushes etc,. The breakfast is good offering a wide range of fruit, cereals and cooked food to order, however, the coffee was the worst we had tasted in Italy, although the cappuccino was fine. Delightful staff. Bar area lacks atmosphere and character. We had to request olives etc., they were not automatically provided with our cocktail order. After reading reviews and overhearing people discuss the expensive restaurant we cancelled our booking there and pleased we did. Pool area fine. Wash rooms beside the pool/bar area had no hand wash soap and strangely their location is not immediately evident. To sum up, excellent staff, good breakfast, lots of concrete but rather ‘soul-less’

Dear Sunrisen, Thank you so much for sharing your feedback. We are delighted you enjoyed the panorama, even our eyes cannot get enough! Grateful you highlighted also our breakfast selection and the thoughtfulness of our team. Coffee here is like a ritual and we take pride in offering only the best quality, I am so sorry you have not liked yours. We would have been more than glad to add a soft topper over the mattress to improve your sleeping experience. Please, feel free to share your wishes even during your stay to give us the opportunity of fulfil them. Moreover, I am so disappointed for your aperitif: we do offer olives and snacks along with cocktails. I have talked with the involved teams, they all felt sorry and will coordinate to the best so that it will not happen again. It is a pity you miss the La Terrazza experience, we understand that dining preferences may vary and we would have been glad if you just gave us a chance! Your feedback is essential in helping us improve the overall experience and we hope you might consider returning in the future. Best, Giulia Manoni

After traveling to 80 countries and all seven continents over the past five decades, our 2023 stay at Hotel Belvedere on Lake Como made it very clear that this is now our favorite hotel in the world! Don’t let the four stars deceive you, because this is a five-star accommodation all the way!
The views of Lake Como are stunning on the eastern slope of this unnamed peninsula that pierces the lake like an arrow, especially from the outdoor deck above the pool. The rooms are so elegant and modern, the rain showers are huge, and the views from our massive patio in the Junior Suite were breathtaking. Cascading down the hill on the hotel property are numerous plateaus of well manicured lawns, sculpted bushes, and beautiful flowers. You’re in close proximity to the action of bustling downtown Bellagio, but secluded just far enough for total peace and quiet at the hotel. Situated in the shadow of a hill just to the north owned by The Rockefeller Foundation, with the mountainous terrain as a buffer between the town center and this lovely property, the serenity makes you feel far from the city that’s a mere 5-minute walk away. It is the optimal location in Bellagio!
The spa is extensive, a facility at which we took full advantage of a thorough, hour-long massage that vastly improves circulation. The staff is incredibly courteous and well trained. But it’s many of the little things they do at Hotel Belvedere that make it such a great place to stay. To offer several examples, the luxurious array of body washes and lotions are noteworthy, the larger trashcans without lids uncommon in most hotel rooms are much easier to navigate, the breakfast is one of the best we’ve ever had, and the room service food is so good you might want to have your nightly dinners in your room.
While breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m., we had to depart at 7:00 on the final morning to catch a ferry. So the staff composed four takeout boxes for the two of us with a wonderful selection of breakfast foods. It was kindness that goes above and beyond. Of our 46 years of international travel, this is the ultimate hotel for us!

We are beyond grateful for your kind words, it is truly an honour to be declared your favourite hotel in the world. Your extensive travel experience lends immense weight to your endorsement, we are touched and proud to have left such a lasting impression on you. The picturesque views of Lake Como, especially from the solarium above the pool, are indeed one of our guests’ favourite features. We spent 2 nights at Hotel Belvedere last week to celebrate a 60th Birthday. We had 3 separate rooms - ours was Garden Superior; our adult daughters were above us in a Garden essential room and our friends were located in the main building on 4th floor - all with a beautiful view of the lake. The Garden rooms are located in a beautifully landscaped grassy area overlooking the mountains and the Lake. Initially I was unsure of this location because it was removed from the main building but I’m so happy that I booked this category. Our spacious room had a big modern bathroom with rain shower and large double vanity as well as a separate closet area. The French doors opened up to the view and a lovely lounge area on the grass where we sat to have cocktails each night before dinner. The rooms were serviced twice a day, which was greatly appreciated. We enjoyed the pool, infinity hot tub and the breakfast each morning. The hotel is conveniently located a short walk from the town of Bellagio and the Lake. The concierge was very helpful - booking several things for us prior to our arrival - wine tasting, car service, dinner reservations and a boat tour. All of the staff that we encountered were friendly & eager to help. The only negative I can say is the air conditioning could have been cooler. Overall so happy that we booked the Belvedere and would definitely return.

Dear flippyLongIsland_NY, Grazie di cuore for sharing your wonderful experience at Belvedere! We are delighted to hear that you chose to celebrate such a special occasion with us and that you enjoyed your stay along with your family and friends. We are also happy to know that the location of your rooms exceeded your expectations. The views from the garden area and the lounge are indeed a perfect setting for enjoying cocktails before dinner. We’re glad you found the spacious accommodations and modern design to your liking. Moreover, it’s great to hear that our concierge made your stay even more enjoyable by assisting with reservations and recommendations. We appreciate your feedback about the air conditioning: while we strive to maintain a comfortable environment, we do have limitations due to sustainability practices and local regulations. However, I would reassure you that we are continuously looking for ways to enhance our guests' comfort while respecting these guidelines. Hope to welcome you back soon! A presto, Giulia

If you are traveling to the Lake Como Region, don't miss one of the most charming towns on the Lake- Bellagio. It offers all the Lake has to offer- good food, great shopping, a beautiful lake, and one of the best hotels on the Lake, the Hotel Belvedere. We have stayed at the Hotel Belvedere twice and each time, it is clearest the best hotel we have stayed at during our entire trip within Italy. The hotel is on a serene street across from a park outside of the lake tourist area with can be overcrowded at anytime of the year. Walking to all of the attractions, the lake, restaurants and shopping is a breeze from the hotel's location. The rooms are immaculate, the grounds are manicured and beautiful, and the breakfast in the mornings in the dining room overlooking the lake add to the excellent experience and make it worth staying at the hotel. The staff are always extremely helpful and go out of their way to make every guest's experience the best it can be. If you are planning to visit Bellagio, don't stay anywhere else except the Hotel Belvedere. It is in my opinion a 5+ star hotel in every respect.

We stayed at Hotel Belvedere for 5 nights in their double twin bed room. I'll start with the positives: the hotel is nestled on the east side of Bellagio, away from the direct hustle and bustle of the city center, but just steps away, making it a prime location, quiet and convenient for popping down to shops and restaurants. The on-site dining, La Terrazza, is a pleasant surprise with stunning views of the lake. Usually, unless you're paying up and staying somewhere purely focused on service and fine dining, you expect the usual, run of the mill food, but La Terrazza was superb. From start to finish, we found it high quality for lunch and dinner.
In terms of areas of improvement, we understood being on a lake town in Italy, accommodations may not necessarily be the most up to date to respect the integrity of the area, but the rooms were much more dated and minimal than expected. Their attention to detail could use some work. As we were traveling on our honeymoon, we were graciously greeted with a kind card in our room that alluded to a complimentary bottle of champagne that had been left…unfortunately, it was nowhere to be found. We also arrived end of October, the beginning of off-peak season, but a warm one at that. The hotel informed us upon arrival that they had switched over to heat for the season…unfortunately for us, it was 60 degrees F / C each day, so our room was sweltering with no relief aside from opening a window, which didn't provide much and caused my asthma to act up. We notified the front desk and we were told a fan would be brought up, but it never arrived. One last minor detail, but worth noting if you're walking around for a while, the key chains for the room keys are massive and heavy, so a pain to walk around with. Overall, Hotel Belvedere is a nice stop if staying for 2-3 nights in Bellagio and you don't want to be riddled with other tourists staying in the cramped city center. With a few enhancements to guest experience, it could be a nice stay.

Dear Nact959, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about your stay with us. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our location on the east side of Bellagio, it seems to be far far away from the city centre hustle but in truth we are only at 10 minutes walking! However, we would like to extend our sincerest apologies for any inconveniences you experienced during your stay. We understand your concerns about the room's appearance and minimalistic design. Please note that the Belvedere offers rooms that are individually designed with the aim of providing a relaxing and not-overwhelming atmosphere, each furnished with Made in Italy essentials meticulously curated by a Milanese architectural studio. We regret that your room did not fully meet your tastes. If we had been aware of your preferences, it would have been a pleasure to explore some alternative options. Moreover, all our teams are committed to ensuring that such lapses do not occur in the future and we have implemented additional measures to ensure a prompt response to such concerns in the future. We appreciate your understanding and patience. We genuinely appreciate your recommendation of the Belvedere to other travellers and hop to welcome you back for a completely flawless experience on your next visit. Please feel free to contact us directly for any special requests or preferences you may have for your future stay! Warm regards, Giulia Manoni

Don't waste your money here. From 22 Euro tiramisu that had no flavor (truly anywhere else is better) to pedicures that hurt, to unclear charges, we would recommend you stay away. We were going to treat ourselves to stay here but decided to stay in an AirBnB and instead come for dinner and a spa day. Both dinner and the spa day were very disappointing. We're so glad we decided not to stay here, and I wish I read some honest reviews beforehand.
Service & Staff: this was another big negative - it was clear that the staff talks about customers in Italian, making us and other guests feel uncomfortable.
Spa: Do not get a pedicure here! They don't have foot baths and there is no foot or calf massage. Instead, I had a painful experience as she picked at my toes for almost an hour, I had to tell her to stop. My husband and I had to spend 400 euros just to get into the spa, to those reading this - save that money and go somewhere else.

Dear Sarah, We have reported your review to Tripadvisor, since you have never experienced a stay at Belvedere, which is actually a mandatory requirement to share a review. However, as personally shared when you met our Manager on duty, even though you had a bad time (before your arrival here and which may have affected your enjoyment – and we are sorry for that) we are delighted that your husband had a lovely massage, relax and good drinks. In order to let every reader understand the context, we would clarify that: the day before your experience, after taking a look at our price-list with different options, you opted for one of our exclusive packages, dedicated to external guests, which includes private use of the spa, couple massage and drinks. Then, on the day of your reservation, at the beginning, it looked like everything was perfect and to your liking. You enjoyed spa, massages and all the services included in your package, plus extra treatments. However, when our spa receptionist asked you to sign for the payment, you seemed very surprised and started to complain about the overall experience. The spa team, along with our Manager on duty, made every effort to ensure your comfort and satisfaction, and we appreciated the opportunity to discuss your concerns with you two, directly while here. Indeed, we are sorry to read your angry tone of voice, the same you used when we shared the bill: “since we should not pay as we have not liked it” - as you reported us. We want to emphasize that our colleagues are committed to treating all guests with respect and care. Some of them, for sure, were speaking in Italian to manage the extra free drinks and canapé with the upstairs bar (like you have no allergies, you were celebrating a special occasion, along with other professional information that are, of course, to be shared) and to understand what they could do to support you further. Even though we appreciate respectful and honest opinions, we wish you both all the best, Giulia

We stayed in Hotel Belvedere for our honeymoon. I have nothing to say apart from amazing things. They made our trip so special, with small touches such as a dessert and champagne on arrival. The hotel staff cannot do enough for you. The location is perfect, just 5 minute walk into the town of Bellagio where there are ferry ports to get to the other towns around the lake. The hotel was very responsive over email prior to our trip when we were booking different activities. The breakfast selection is delicious and not to mention the spectacular views of the lake from the pool and sundeck. The spa is also one of the best I have been too! I would recommend this hotel over and over again!

Hotel Belvedere exceeded all expectations. Every detail of the hotel is thoughtful and exquisite. The beds and linens are high quality and the bathroom was quite large and stocked with everything you could need including a towel warmer. To our surprise and pleasure, there were even French doors leading out onto a private terrace from both the room and bathroom! We had dinner at the Terrazzo restaurant inside of the hotel. The meal was exceptional with an elegant atmosphere. Our servers, especially Damiano, were attentive and met our every need. We highly recommend Hotel Belvedere and hope to visit again!

This hotel is truly beautiful! It is situated a short walk up the hill out of the center of town, which we loved, because the town got very crowded at times. We had a lovely, newly renovated room with a balcony that was very large. The service was excellent at all times. The pool and grounds are beautifully appointed. The only minor complaint that we had is that the hotel does not provide an iron for the room. You need to use their laundry service, which is expensive, or their "ironing room," which cannot be accessed without a hotel employee. This seems like a silly inconvenience for a hotel that otherwise has excellent customer service.

This hotel is in a beautiful location. It is a short walk to the center of the town where you can find many restaurants and shopping. The hotel has several restaurant options, all of which were great. We had lunch on arrival, which was delicious and breakfast daily. The breakfast buffet is good - typical options, as well as an a la carte menu. All the food is great. We stayed in a comfort room located at the lower part of the building, with a lake view off of a patio. It was a beautiful view and very relaxing. The room itself was reasonably sized with a fantastic, large rain shower. The king bed was very comfortable.
We were an end unit, so there was one window high up on the wall. The doors to the room were glass, with wood louvre doors covering those for the evening. One concern was given the time of year, the hotel discontinued the A/C and unfortunately it was very warm. They were unable to adjust room temperature, unlike our experience at other hotels on this same trip. So we had to ask for a fan, which helped only a bit, so we locked the louvre doors at night, leaving the glass doors open for air. Unfortunately we then had some flies, which were annoying but not much to do other than close the door and be very warm.
The staff were helpful, friendly and responsive. There are many amenities including a spa, fitness center and pool. It's a great hotel that you'll definitely enjoy.
