Let tell you about this place after 17 days. If you come to Fort Simpson make sure you eat before you get here. there are not too many places to eat so keep in mind that they close there restaurant when ever they want, many times I have tried to eat and the restaurant is closed, not trying to be...

After driving the Liard Trail we arrived in Fort Simpson only to find that the town was hosting the Dene National Assembly. We were advised that pretty much all accommodations in town were full , even the campgrounds. We had planned on staying at the Nahanni Inn because they were the only place that would allow dogs and we were...

Motel that would normally fall under the <100$ range but costs about 170$ for a room. Unfriendly staff and absolutely no amenities except a TV; no AC in room, not even a coffee cooker, micro or anything at all. Room is from the 80ies, so seems to be the dirty carpet. If you get the chance, book in with a...

Nice atmosphere, rooms are comfortable, and compared to other hotels up there it's a good value for the money. I can warmly recommend the Nahanni Inn to everyone planning to come to Fort Simpson. The employees there were very helpful explaining all the things that one can do for sightseeing up there.

This is the only hotel in the Village of Fort Simpson. It has a coffee shop which is the only restaurant (of 2) that serves breakfast. The dining room is open for lunch and supper. There is a bar that closes at midnight. The rooms are basic and comfortable and clean. They have smoking, non-smoking and pet friendly rooms available.

The only reason we stayed here is because it is the only place in Ft Simpson that is pet friendly, and I tried calling everyone else first. Sadly, the Nahanni Inn was even worse than I expected. Old and dated, it may have been the original 1970's furniture. For pet rooms, it's ground floor, smoking, and twin beds only. Walls...

Considering that you're staying in Fort Simpson, this basic accommodation was affordable and clean. Of course you're not going to get five star lodging up here - if that's what you're looking for, then choose one of those overpriced guesthouses. Only real complaint is that it was strangely too hot in the rooms; we were here in late September and...

I was in Fort Simpson for a meeting, since my employer was footing the bill, I didn't have a choice in choosing better accommodations. Anyway, the minute I opened the door, there was a strong odour of mold and stale cigrette smoke. Disgusting...I opened the small window. There is somewhat of a view of the Mackenzie River, but the window...
