Detailed Reviews
Bright, clean, quiet, well organized, well maintained, social rooms, all the cozy comforts of home. Air co was generous. Breakfast fridge contained eggs, yogurt, fruit, bread, spreads. This was a happy surprise. Great value. Short walk to grocery and downtown shops and cultural buildings. I used the bbq to cook supper and ate it on the picnic table in the back yard.

I stayed for a couple of days while in Fort Simpson for work. It was easy to find, just off the main street. The owners are very friendly, with informal check in/check out. The common areas are large and comfortable, the kitchen well stocked. All the rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable with free wireless internet. The other guests were fantastic as well, I had a great experience.

I have stayed here several times for work trip and will continue. Very nice uncrowded B&B with comfortable common living, dining and kitchen areas. Rooms are great and beds are comfortable. Good assortment of coffees. Free wireless internet.
Property manager was sometimes hard to get in a hold of. Very informal check-in/check-out.

Would love to review the Janor House or its sister establishment, Willows Inn, but never saw the inside of either. We drove 305 miles to Fort Simpson, mostly dirt roads, to start a two day stay in the area. We arrived early evening to find the Janor House and the Willow Inn vacant ocked up. There were no notes or any indication the owners were going to honor the reservation we made. After well over an hour searching around, calling their published number, talking with neighbors, we were faced with the uncomfortable reality we had no place to stay. We stopped at the Visitor Center and with the help of a young lady made reservations in Fort Providence, more than a 200 mile drive away.
Let me sum this up- 500 miles and hours driving on dirt roads, about $100 in wasted fuel expense, a lost vacation day and a very unpleasant experience.

Stayed at the Willows Inn for a night. Clean and comfortable. One of best places to stay in town. Price is approximately the same as Deh Cho Suites. Unfortunately never made it to the breakfest as I had a busy morning. I plan on staying at Willows Inn my next visit to Fort Simpson.

We stayed several nights at both the Janor Guesthouse and the Willows and were very, very pleased with both. Janor is good for a group, with two shared living rooms, a full shared kitchen and shared bathrooms. It is very clean and comfortable. The Willows is top-notch modern rooms with private bathrooms and a smaller shared kitchen. We cannot praise the owners Colin and Leah highly enough. They both went out of their ways to help us solve several complex problems ahead of and after our 23-day Nahanni River canoe trip. We have travelled the world and these two accommodations rank 10/10 compared to many of the 5 star hotels we have visited over the years. Thank you.

I had the chance to stay at the Janor and the Willows this summer - both times for multiple nights. I'd recommend both.
The Janor is a lovely guest house with a common kitchen - great for making your own meals and meeting other travellers in Fort Simpson. I was in a room with a shared bathroom, and enjoyed my time there - everything was very clean and welcoming.
The Willows is a lovely Inn. I recouped from a 3-week paddle down the Nahanni here, and the hot shower and lovely bed were truly appreciated.

I spent a few nights at the willows in Ft. Simpson and had a very nice stay. The rooms were very clean, bed was comfortable and in general everything was great. Check in was seamless and the rooms over all were very new, and modern and the Internet worked great. The only thing that was a little sad was the poor little dog that was chained to the pole of the neighbors with no access to a dog house and nothing but the ground to sleep on Something you would see everyday so made my overall stay less enjoyable.

Wonderful place to stay at Fort Simpson! Leah & Colin were very welcoming & helpful. The room was very clean & comfortable - microwave, small fridge, wi-fi (excellent, fast)
Direct TV.... Leah & Annette answered my questions about eating out in Fort Simpson (bring some snacks/food with you). A clean nice kitchen is available for guests to use, plus breakfast foods are provided by Leah & Colin. We give them five stars out of five stars*****
We stayed there two nights before a 12 day Nahanni River raft trip & one night after coming off the river.

I travel a lot and this was the best updated, clean and friendly B & B I have ever stayed in.
It is a perfect location in town and has lots of perks. I would recommend this B & B to everyone traveling to Fort Simpson.
