Location in the old Sirmione (free from cars) and near Aquaria Terme, very useful when you leave after spending the day at the spa and do not want to walk too much on foot. We see that the hotel has been renovated again.Very intimate. Really...More
I have just spent three nights in the Mavino hotel. Our room was lovely with a balcony looking out to the lake. Welcoming staff. Spotlessly clean rooms and linen. The breakfast was good but maybe a bit basic, but suited my needs perfectly. Tasty croissants...More
My boyfriend and I stayed in the Mavino for 7 nights last August gone. I will begin with the positives

2. Great staff helpful and friendly
3. Very clean - towels changed everyday.
All this being said I...More
The location of the hotel is great. Close to all the attractions and still away from the bussiest streets. Sirmione is a tourist place and you will be adviced to leave your vehicle in a parking space outside the old city. Will recomend spring or...More
We stayed here for eleven nights. There are some things about the hotel which are good.
It is very modern and up to date. The air-conditioning works well, if a tad noisy (which can be a good thing when inconsiderate guests have the television on...More

Hi CyprusLea, We had the same dilemma when we came to stay here ourselves. I asked others at the time and had no real answers. In the end I sent an e-mail to the hotel and they gave me the details of a local man who was absolutely brilliant. One thing I will say in advance, transfers from the airport to the hotel are expensive. He did charge us about 50 Euro's each way? One person told me about using the bus service but this meant waiting about and lugging luggage about so we paid for the Taxi. His details are Ponti Easy Travel and his name is Mauro Tammacco. He speaks excellent English and is a lovely man. We e-mailed him to get a quote and he replied very quickly. We loved the hotel, the staff were very good and the location is perfect to ramble around and see the Old Town area of Sirmione. We wanted a view of Lake Garda and opted for a second floor room which I believe was 301? It did cost us a little extra but we thought it was worth it and we booked that before we went by sending an e-mail to the hotel. If you look on my reviews for the hotel and Lake Garda you maybe able to pick up some things of interest to you about the ferries etc. Have a great break away, regards Grahame & Julie.
