A lovely hotel with friendly staff. Our room was comfortable although I would have appreciated a fridge. The restaurant was excellent with good food at reasonable prices, and we were lucky enough to be able to eat outside on the terrace each evening. There were some rooms with balconies (not ours unfortunately) but it might be worth requesting one as they provide extra space and a view of the lake.

The Hotel Serenella has a cosy and friendly atmosphere and is by far the best buy in the small town of Feriolo. We came in the afternoon and the receptionist showed us to our room on the first floor with a splendid view of the mountains. She was one of these people that you just instinctively like - told us everything we needed to know with smiles and in an excellent english, which I really appreciate as my italian is sooooo bad. The spacious room was nice, clean and comfortable and the bathroom - newly renovated - was tasteful with alle the accommodations and PLENTY of hot water, which is always VERY important in our bath loving family PLUS the free wi-fi worked perfectly. The Serenella has a very good buffet breakfast - which was altered a bit every day (one day little

We stayed here one night on your way around Lake Maggiore, and we had a very pleasant stay. The hotel interieur seems new and is very well maintained, although the whole hotel still has a cosy atmosphere to it. We had a good room, clean and with a good bed and delicate shower, which overlooked the road and round-about. When the windows were closed, we didn't hear the traffic at all, so we don't fint it a problem that the road is quite busy with tourist traffic. The breakfast was delicate situated in a pleasant and well maintained restaurant.

The food at Restaurant Serenella is simply amazing. The mushroom risotto is cooked to order and is simply divine. My partner, who is Italian, agreed that this was the best that we had ever eaten , and I have eaten many risottos in the 20-odd years that I have visited this picturesque part of Italy.. I followed the risotto with the Borromean style Perch, that was tasty and cooked to perfection. After our meal we went for a walk along the stunning lakefront, a short walk away. If you are a in search of the perfect photo I would recommend you go around sunset and see for yourself the stupendous hues from nature's palette.

Again and again, we go to La Serenella for lunch or dinner with our Italian Family, guests from all over or just the two of us, every time we spend time in nearby Stresa. Food, service and atmosphere are simply excellent. The menu varies - seasonal - but not the staff, professional and courteous and always a pleasure to see again. The dining room has been beautifully designed in an elegant yet understated way. Soft colours and light makes the room modern, yet intimate. This restaurant is frequented by a large number of habitués as well as descending tourists. We recommend it wholeheartedly.

Profesional service, nice restaurant and staff, nice wine suggestions, Rooms clean and tidy. We could have the room until 13.00 without any extra charge due too low season at the staying time. Recomended if you are in the area of Lago Maggiore.

On our way back to Switzerland from Venice we overnighted in this pleasant small hotel. The owner was very helpful with a dinner suggestion to travel to the small island for dinner. Wonderful evening!

We stayed at this hotel in March this year, I think it is probably the most welcome I have felt in a hotel. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaraunt and the food was amazing. I would really recommend this hotel. There is also a bus-stop right outside the hotel.

Although it is very difficult to find hotels open during the Christmas period in Lago Maggiore, the Serenella is indeed open for business. This is the second year in a row we, (a family of three with a 4 year old daughter), have stayed at the Serenella. The hotel is actually not in Baveno, but in Feriolo; the adjacent town just as pittoresque as Baveno. The rooms are very clean; the bedlinen changed on a daily basis, as well as the towels. The double-glazing on the windows assures us a good night's sleep. Fillippo, the owner, has been extremely helpful and agreable on both occasions and his staff charming and polite. The fact that we have been welcomed by the same faces reassures us of the smooth running of the hotel. The breakfast buffet is simple and good, just what we
