Great staff and great accommodation in a perfect location.
The rooms were comfortable and available from 1200. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
The breakfast buffet was very good and the host was on hand to give great tips for excursions.

A friend and I stayed two nights at the Hotel Saini in Stresa. Excellent location in relation to the center and the embarkation point for the islands.
Federico (the owner) immediately showed himself to be very kind and helpful. The rooms are well furnished and very clean and soundproofed with the renovated bathroom. The breakfast is varied and plentiful. I definitely recommend it to everyone. Close to the center, where thanks to Federico's suggestions we ate well with good value for money. We spent a very pleasant weekend in this beautiful town with its 3 enchanting and evocative islands. Full marks!

My wife and I stayed here on vacation a couple of weeks ago. The hotel is small but very nice. The proprietor is very personable and attentive. We had a nice breakfast before heading out to Isolo Bella on the ferry. The restaurant a few doors away was also excellent.

Don’t recommend to stay at this place. Flood in the bathroom after taking shower, incompetent stuff, tiny room. You even have to borrow hair dryer at the reception. If you travel to places like Lago Maggiore pay a bit more and enjoy lake views.

Plus :Central location friendly staff

Minus: Bad smell in the room do not have internet on the 3 floor. Cooler than hot water when showering. Very small for 3 people.

Neutral: very simple very simple! Poorly completed expectation.

We spent two nights in Stresa and were very happy with the hotel. Mr. Saini went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. He even called the restaurant where we were dining and offered to walk an umbrella to us on a rainy evening. He provided great recommendations for restaurants and gave advice on boats, tours and islands. The rooms were spacious and clean. Thank you Mr. Saini!

Stayed here a few months ago, it was the last part of my 3 week trip which I stayed for 1 night.
I had read the reviews and thought for a minute I was at the wrong place this place is not even a one star it smells like mold, the pillows smelled of sweat and the owner was "freaky weird". By that I mean, he seemed a little sneaky, which made me feel quite uncomfortable. I should have known when i walked in the front lobby which was littered with items that were many years old like magazines and newspaper. Wonder who gave him all those great reviews...

Gianni made sure we made the most of our 3 nights at his hotel. Of course we were tired when we arrived and so we were shocked that he did not insist we go through a long check-in procedure. Instead he took charge of our bags and told us to rest and come back down later so he could make suggestions for our dinner plans as well as plans for the next day. We accepted his suggestions and enjoyed an incredible train ride to Levanto with return by boat as well as excellent meals at local establishments. We also had wonderful conversations with this very interesting gentleman. The hotel is right in the middle of everything, near the dock and an inexpensive cab ride to the train station. One night we were caught in a sudden storm while at dinner and Gianni even showed up with umbrellas for our walk home! The room was especially clean and was evidently cleaned twice daily. We would stay here again and again. Thanks Gianni for making our trip so special!

This hotel was such a welcoming place for me. Gianni and Mari Saini were the best host. Gianni made recommendations for sight seeing and great places to eat. He was always available to answer questions and have great conversations. Loved the breakfast and the rooms were very clean and spacious and quiet. The location was excellent for catching the train, boats, and exploring downtown. Can't wait to come back.

Long overdue praising this hotel from our visit in February 2014. Gianni "rescued" us after we discovered that our online booked hotel was closed for renovation. Gianni immeditely took us in and besides providing a five-star experience in accomodation, was the perfect one man chamber of commerce for Stresa and Lago Maggiore. Our visit was deep in the "off" season with many attractions and services closed for the season, but Gianni knew what was open and all his recommendations for food and entertainment were spot on. Additionally he was most helpful in directing our transportation and even booked accomodations for us in Rome for our return trip. Five star service, family friendliness and secure, comfortable accomodation, you could find no better in this beautiful region.
