Tripadvisor gives a Travellers’ Choice award to accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travellers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor.
Star ratings are intended to indicate the general level of features, amenities, and services to expect. This property is classified according to Giata.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
The hotel is beautifully decorated in an art deco / 1930s style, with lots of original features and ornaments. The rooms are comfortable although the bathroom in our lake view room was tiny and the air con not overly powerful.
The grounds and pool area are very well kept.
Breakfast was lovely with a range of food on offer including lots of fresh fruit. My daughter is coeliac and the gluten free basket consisted mainly of individually wrapped biscuits and cakes (she didn’t mind!) but not much bread. Worryingly, there were other items in the basket that weren’t gluten free and she had a narrow escape on our first morning but luckily I double checked what she’d put on her plate before she actually ate it.
The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk to the main centre of Stresa, which we didn’t mind.

The hotel is very nice with a walking distance of about 10 minutes to the centre. The breakfast included e.g scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, bread and yogurt. The double room was beautiful with a large terrace with view of the lake Maggiore. The air conditioning was almost ok, with limited temperature. The pool area was quiet and still.

A well-run and very modern hotel which invests in the best facilities for the comfort of its guests. Free hotel parking (including electric point) and good WIFI this establishment looks after its guests, especially at breakfast time. A good variety of quality products is available and it does not feel packed out either. My only complaint was the air-con which was too meek and mild for the soaring temperatures outside (35°). The restaurants and ferry service to the islands are only a 15 min walk away.

We stayed a night with the family, we thank the extreme friendliness and availability of all the staff. We quickly feel “like home” The pool is a real plus! Ideal for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The pool house bar offers a menu at prices defying all competition the cocktails are top! The Inn’s location is perfect, close to the center but far enough away to enjoy the quiet. Beautiful peaceful and well maintained garden. The breakfast and it also perfect nothing wrong, easy parking, if we pass by we will return with pleasure!

This was our second visit to this hotel, and we had enjoyed our first stay so much that part of our reason for returning to Stresa was to repeat it. We had a wonderful room with a spacious balcony overlooking gorgeous Lago Maggiore, very clean and quiet. The hotel is directly on the lake, within easy walking distance to the ferry to the Borromean islands. But what we really like about this hotel is the intimate family atmosphere. The multilingual staff was extremely kind and helpful and really made us feel like their personal guests. Overall, this is the kind of European travel experience that you always hope to find but so rarely can.

We booked for two nights in this hotel lin Stresa. It was very reasonably priced and within a fairly easy flat walk to the centre of the town of Stresa. Out room was well equipped with a very large balcony with a view of Lake Maggiore - I think we were very lucky with this as not all rooms have a view of the lake. There is a good pool to siwm in but no restaurant, The staff were very helpful and breakfast was good. There are some amazing hotels in Stresa but they obviouslhy come at a very hefty price - this hotel is very good value, just round a corner from thse very expensive hotels, and we would certainly go there again.

The hotel is ideally located to do everything on foot. Everything is very beautiful: the gardens, the swimming pool and its bar (with deckchairs and towels for everyone :-)), and of course the hotel itself which with its subtle decoration invites you to travel. The rooms are very clean and well air-conditioned. Very comfortable bedding (and we are picky). Breakfast is plentiful and very good, you can have it in the living room or on the terrace sheltered from the sun. Finally, and it's a real pleasure, don't hesitate to ask Roberto for any advice, restaurant reservations, tours, spots in the region. He will do everything to satisfy you with a big smile in French, English, etc. We recommend and will come back with pleasure. Thanks again Roberto.

We loved the place, the park and fountain, the building, the beautiful internal and communal renovations and our room, spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast is beautiful, the welcome and service are perfect. A special note for the evening receptionist who generously gave us plenty of advice for visiting the islands or finding a restaurant. Very friendly. Parking on site. Boarding 15’ walk or 3’ drive with paid parking on site. City center 20’ walk along magnificent hotels and gardens. Frankly, very well and especially in a consistent price range. It changes the fare madness with no visible compensation.

Stayed here 1w. Good location about 15mins gentle walk along the front into town. We had a great view of the lake. Good size rooms. Clean. Fridge and coffee making facilities. Nice breakfasts either in the dining area or on the terrace. Plenty of loungers by pool but not allowed to take your own water bottles-alcohol and soft drinks I can understand they want you to get at their pool bar but water?(although they were kind enough to give us a couple of bottles on our last afternoon whilst waiting to leave for airport). Friendly helpful staff and a parting gift of a bottle of fizz!

My husband and I had a wonderful time last weekend at this lovely hotel! When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Elena. It was a nice bonus that she could speak English so well. All the staff we encountered were very nice! Our room was on the fourth floor with a view of Lake Maggorie. The room was clean and very spacious and had a small balcony. The bathroom was also very generous in size. The grounds around the pool are beautifully kept and the pool was very nice as well. Lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas around the pool for relaxing! There is also a bar next to the pool that is open late. One night after returning from dinner it was nice to enjoy a glass of wine by the pool with friends. The hotel is just across the road from the lake and short walking distance to the ferry service for the lake islands. Also, a nice stroll to the restaurants, cafes, and shops in Stresa. Each morning we took advantage of the abundant continental breakfast buffet full of pastries, yogurt, cereal, toast, waffles, pancakes, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, juice, coffee AND espresso drinks made to order. Each morning my husband and I had a cappuccino with our breakfast. We enjoyed eating outside on the patio, but there is ample seating inside as well. Our stop here was one of many in Europe, so we were traveling with lots of luggage. We were relieved that they had an elevator and air conditioning! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning someday.
