The best part was the great view out the window down and over the town to the lake and the mountains beyond. I was even able to take photos of Isola Bella and Isola Pescatori with my zoom lens. There was also a good view down to the garden. The room was quiet even though the hotel is located near the train line that goes to Locarno.
We received a lovely warm welcome from Cyria who gave us lots of information about the local area also. We were given the most lovely room for our stay with an amazing view and a balcony too, on the 3rd floor. We loved the room as soon as we walked in!
The hotel itself, family owned and once an elegant, private residence, is just stunning. The detail in the decoration is beautiful and the dining room where we had breakfast was just spectacular. The craftsmanship of years gone by looks just as stunning now as it did then and it is the most amazing room in a beautiful property.
There was a large choice at breakfast of cold meats, breads, croissants, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit salad etc. and was very enjoyable.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, just a short walk down the road and you are in the main square of Stresa with lots of restaurants, shops etc. and the small boats which can take you over the the 3 small islands.
We met Alessandro and his wife who own and run the hotel and their young son. Alessandro was very welcoming and friendly and shared with us a background of the property which was very interesting.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Du Park in Stresa and thank all the staff for a lovely stay as part of our 30th wedding anniversary celebration holiday and we very much look forward to going back again one day!
Finally, the proximity of the hotel to the city center and places of interest - within walking distance - made our holiday extremely pleasant.

We are in Stresa in one of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed in. For me I enjoy connecting with people and I found all the staff at Hotel du Parc to be most friendly. It is a high point to end my love affair with Italy.
My wife booked the room with a lake and mountain views - spectacular!
The gardens are lovely with massive trees and hidrangea scattered on the grounds. And I managed to thank the gardener for doing a fine job!
The hotel is a short walk into town/lake but that also saves going into ZTL area and fined.
Breakfast - wide range of cold meat, cheeses, together with cereals and yoghurt, pastries etc.
The dining room is on the first floor with views over the lake.
Room and bed are very comfortable and the bathroom is standard.
The hotel has been in the same family for three generations. And I hope will continue to be dedicated to the memory of grandparents who established the hotel.
Oh by the way we were here when Maserati had a conference so I also was able to get to see my fav car.

The whole hotel is beautiful. Very important point is the free parking.
The breakfast is a must!!! Home baked cakes and a super quality prosciutto are to die for. For people concerned about Covid restrictions, everyone is wearing masks. At the breakfast the Staff serve the food you choose wearing gloves and you can ask as much as you can eat no restrictions;))) it is just to avoid that people touch food. Seats and tables are disinfected after chaque personne Cappuccino is very good
All the staff is very nice and kind. The French guy at the reception who is one of the owners too (sorry don't know the name) is very helpful and nice
He has a lot of nice advices to enjoy Stresa at the best. All owners are in the hotel very often interacting with clients and I find it very nice.
Should I be back in the area, I'll definitly stay in this hotel again. Thanks to everyone who made this stay enjoyable
We requested a room with a balcony and lake view and that is exactly what we got! The hotel was built as a private residence and turned into a hotel many years ago hence there are many original features such as ornate, decorated ceilings, beautiful old furnishings, very pretty coloured chandeliers etc.
The cold buffet breakfast had good quality meats, cheeses, fresh fruit salad, various breads and excellent coffee! We thought that the breakfast items could be more varied and maybe alternated but, overall, we have no complaints whatsoever!
We stayed a full week and would have no problem recommending the delightful Hotel du Parc (despite the uphill walk back which could be slightly difficult in the heat!!). We had the most excellent view of Lake Maggiore and spent hours watching the boats taking their passengers between the picturesque islands.
Thank you for a lovely holiday!!
Good romantic period hotel with charm and Italian decoration.
Welcoming reception with good information on activities in the region including documentation.
Good size room, clean bathroom.
important ! We had a room on the garden side, a railway line is nearby.
For light sleepers to reserve/request a room on the lake side or in the newer annex.
Well-stocked and hearty lunch.
Parking on site.

Our room was clean and spacious enough with a little balcony that offered a great view of the town and lake. We did have an issue with the power adapter but the front desk allowed us to borrow one and the problem was solved.
The breakfasts were delicious but the best part of the stay was the staff, particularly Simona who was a constant cheery face with excellent recommendations. She put us on to market day in one of the villages as well as good restaurants particularly Il Vicoletto, which was magnificent. She also helped with our requirements when we chose to eat in on our balcony one night and if only I could remember the name of the red wine that she put us on to, I would happily buy a few more bottles for the rest of our stay.
