good points, breakfast boxes supplied, for early starts. freindly helpfull staff. good location, close to ferry pick up point. nice flat walk into town. fridge in room. ...Bad points...Thin walls and ceilings in bedrooms, can hear every little noise. including people above, going to the toilet. No uk TV. 40% tax added to dinner drinks when you check out. Meals...good buffet breakfast, evening meals, good salad starter selection. help yourself. 2nd course pasta, nothing, exciting. Main course NO variation, (veal 4 times in a week) Small amounts in middle of plate. Good selection of help yourself sweets, very tasty.

We have stayed at the hotel several times and we like it every time. The friendliness, food and facilities left nothing to be desired. The staff from reception to room cleaning to the restaurant were always courteous. Parking/underground parking can be booked for a fee.

We stayed for a weekend in this three-star hotel not far from the Stresa lakeside (10 min walk). The hotel has paid parking but let's say that in the area if you are looking for something free you will find it. Friendly professional staff, especially the guys in the dining room, starting from the maitre d', then Giulio who followed us to the table and Mattia with his excellent cappuccinos and coffees. Well-presented dishes and quality raw materials, good wine list to choose from. Well soundproofed rooms for those facing the mountains, a mix of classic and modern, probably some still under renovation. We recommend it for those who want to find good value for money when visiting Stresa and the Borromean Islands.

Located directly on the noisy main road, in addition to a junction with traffic lights and also a motorway feeder leads past. The back rooms are also located on a road and overlook the railway line, but there is little train traffic. Instead, the ventilation buzzes and rattles around the clock.
Dinner of half board was moderate. The same tomato sauce drowned Primo and Secondo. The antipasti buffet as well as the dessert buffet were a hodgepodge of convenience products.
Also at the breakfast buffet cheapest industrial goods and canned food. The vending machine coffee is an insult to Italy.
The overnight stay was a disappointment that we would like to spare other holidaymakers with this review.

Do not trust the photos and the ranking on Booking, they are misleading. What I didn't like: Noise: hotel located between a rising street and a railway line Reception: cold and unhelpful The parking lot: small (less than 10 cars) and having a disabled card does not give you any rights The rooms: large but sad, old-fashioned and poorly soundproofed The bed: slatted, hard and uncomfortable Wifi: obstacle course and low speed Breakfast: only industrial products from orange juice to coffee and rolls The swimming pool: small, crowded with a tiny solarium invaded by dogs and dated equipment Location: it is not on the lakefront and the city center is 20 minutes away on foot (with a long climb to return) ... If you want to shorten your stay due to insomnia, don't think about a discount on the reservation. There are many hotels in Stresa, much better for the same price

Inn particularly pleasant for its exterior, the pool area with its bar is really very appreciable. The rest deserves a young blow, both on the decor and on the furniture. The room we occupied was a little sad, and old, it was a hospital room! and not very well soundproofed, you could hear the people from above. But clean and cleaned every day. Breakfast is good, there is a choice, sweet or savoury, we regret the absence of fresh juice, and real Italian coffee! The staff is friendly and helpful. There are few parking spaces, which are also paid (15€ per day) and not bookable in advance. You have to maneuver a little to park, and therefore be careful. In 5 minutes walk, one is by the lake, and in 15 minutes downtown, if not less walking quickly. And the walk is nice, day and night! Stresa is really beautiful!

We had a great week at Hotel Della Torre. The hotel was lovely and traditional, with attentive and friendly staff, good food choices at breakfast and dinner. Our room was spotless and it was wonderful to be able to sit on the balcony with views of the lake and mountains. Stresa is a lovely resort with lakeside walks and a nice old town. The ferry was a five minute walk from the hotel with access to the Borromean Islands which were unique and very interesting. One day we caught the service bus to Orta which is beautiful. Reception gave us the bus timetable and we caught the bus from the stand around the corner from the hotel. A bargain day out at approximately 4€ each way.

Stayed at the Della Torre for a 3 night stay in September as a group of 5, I personally had a single room. The hotel was an ideal base for us to explore the resort of Stresa, it was a walk into the resort, but we chatted and enjoyed the lake views and took our time. The staff in the bar, dining room and reception were very friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the hotel on the first night after a long first day travelling. Dinner was really enjoyable, and we all enjoyed the breakfasts each morning. My room was a little dated but very clean, and the bed comfortable for me. It did overlook the road, (but I live in East London, am immune to traffic noise) but the doors onto the balcony were good soundproofing. All in all I thought the hotel was a solid 3 stars, a lovely traditional style Italian accommodation, I'd be more than happy to return.

Decent hotel which needs a real refresh Elevator which jumps when starting noisy air conditioning but essential for sleeping because there is too much noise outside to leave the windows open Basic room like the bathroom. Pool area on the other hand very pleasant and neat Location very far from the center 20 minutes….and according to the service provider for the Borromean Islands, boarding is also 20 minutes away on foot!!!! In short, it's a decent hotel which is not worth more than 3 stars which is more expensive than a 4 Milan!!!! Lots of hotels in Stresa look good!!!

We spent a really lovely week at Hotel Della Torre. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, especially those in the restaurant who were attentive but not at all intrusive. We enjoyed the food very much - a good choice for breakfast and 4 traditional courses for dinner. The hotel is spotless, and our standard room was comfortable with clean towels every day. The swimming pool is great with a very good pool bar. The area is beautiful, and our trip to Isola Bella was definitely a highlight. The lake is only a 5 minutes walk from the hotel. We walked to Stresa many times, but it does take 25 minutes. Don’t forget your mozzy spray!

Responded Aug 14, 2024
It sounds like you had a fantastic stay at Hotel Della Torre! The friendly and attentive staff, along with the quality food and comfortable amenities, really seem to have made your trip enjoyable. The proximity to the lake and the highlight of Isola Bella sound like wonderful experiences. Thanks for the heads-up about the mosquitoes—always good to be prepared! If you have any other tips or need recommendations for future trips, feel free to ask.

Hi the resort has a flat promenade but this hotel is a little way out from the centre of Stresa. As far as accessibility goes it really depends on what you are planning to do.
There are more places to choose from in the Stresa area.
