At 77 euro a night, this was an inexpensive hotel in Stresa. I was therefore quite pleased with a room with a balcony (compete with chairs and table) and the friendly family staff. The view was of the hills behind the town, not lake view, but still nice. The mini fridge had a plate and spoon and two glasses in...

We had a great stay at Hotel Elena in April, 2009. Our front room was on the third floor overlooking the square. The room is large, the view over the square and the mountains nice. Double glazing and shutters kept out the noise from the square which wasn't too bad anyway. The front room overlooking the square could be quite...

My wife and I stayed here in May of 2008 (I'm a little slow) and found this hotel well suited to our needs. It was right in the center of town, probably a mile to mile and a half from the train station but a very short walk to the waterfront where you can get ferries to all the different...

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Elena for two nights this past September and were very happy with our experience there. We asked for a room facing the main square, and very much enjoyed watching the hustle and bustle and listening to the music on weekend nights. The hotel is a pleasant 20 minute walk from the RR...

This hotel's location is fantastic. When you book, request a room on the front overlooking the square where you can sit on the balcony & enjoy the hubbub of the square and the view of the mountains and lake. Be warned though, there are no fans in the rooms so if you're going in the height of summer you might...

My wife, son (6 month old) and I stayed at the Hotel Elena on our second to last night in Italy after a great two week vacation in Italy. As we only had one night, we wanted to find a place that was conveniently located and of course, a great hotel at a great price. Well, we got everything we...

the little hotel elena is simply perfect! I was a bit afraid (even if i've read all the positive reviews on tripadvisor) because of the only 1 star, but it's a perfect hotel. it's on the main square of the town , full of bars and restaurants and dehors , so if you want a quieter room ask for a...
