We stayed for 4 nights in a deluxe double. Reception staff were lovely , friendly, polite and helpful . Nice room, good shower and it was made up nicely by the chambermaids each day. Breakfast was lovely, buffet style.Townhouse 33 is in a quiet residential area It was 20 minute walk to the centre which was needed to walk off the breakfast! The hotel has a unique, quirky style which we loved. We would happily stay here again!

Well first impression, we arrived when Milan was a little more quiet it was dark and almost like a weird feeling of the silence but still night activity going on. But to the hotel, staff was incredible when we arrived, well speaking and understandable. Explained what we needed to know. The rooms were high to the ceiling almost a luxury room feeling. The bathroom was also really big, and amazing shower. I never fall asleep so fast, those cosy beds.... When we woke up we were a little tight to have time before the breakfast would close. But when we got down, it was amazing. This one guy who worked there offered fresh Coffee and eggs and was also very friendly. He sat down and had a chat to us and started talking about Milan and also some stories that he hade experienced. It was a lovley breakfast. Not only great italian standards but something for everyone. There was amazing fruit, we had different prosciuttos and normal ham. There was different types of cheese i mean the list keeps going. But the most amazing thing is just how friendly it was. You know when I had the thought of that big of a city, i would think the hotel would be full and no time for personal talk with the personel. But imagine a cozy italian Disney film, yes just that cozy, friendly feeling it was. When you could almost get to know people. And no disturbance at night nor day. Also 1 minute walk to sushi resturants Burger and classic italian food and supermarket. Top class would definitly reccomend.

We enjoyed our stay at Town House 33. It is in a quiet part of the city, but 15-20 minute stroll to the centre. The staff were great, very polite, happy and helped with any queries. Hotel was very clean. Breakfast is continental but they will cook you eggs if request. Slept very well as beds comfortable and area peaceful. Would happily stay here again.

I slept one night in Town House 33 in January 2012 with my boyfriend.
First of all it was hard to find, because the entrance was on number 31 (despite the name).
At reception, the girl who "welcomed" us was wearing lousy trousers and sweater (and not a uniform); she was not really interested in our arrival either.
The room, a Junior Suite, was aseptic though boiling hot. The housekeeping put a mirror in a wrong position covering the thermostat, so we had hard time understanding how to adjust room temperature.
There was no room directory to get information about breakfast, minibar, etc.
The bathroom was falling to pieces, like it was 30-year-old.
Breakfast was poor and I didn't enjoy having breakfast at the same big table with other people.

I was definetly expecting something more from a Small Luxury Hotel of the World.

I am sitting in the lobby of this wonderful little hotel as I write this. We are here on business for the week and am astounded at the hospitality and accommodations of Townhouse 33. The staff makes you feel like family, they are always ready with a glass of wine, cappuccino, plate of prosciutto, etc. The rooms are clean, quiet and well appointed. The wifi did not work with an iPad in the rooms but connected well in the lobby, where quite frankly, is the place to be anyway! Location is a brisk 20 minute walk to the Duomo and shopping. Parking is a few blocks away which is typical for the area.

Stay here with the confidence that you will get your money's worth and have a true Italian experience. This is my hotel in Milano going forward!

How nice to come to a hotel where you think “i am at home”. Milan is a city where for some reasons is difficult to find a decent hotel, luckily i found this booking and to have a suite is worth every penny. Amazing!!!!

I had room service and nothing to say!!!i will definately come back!!!!

We have recently stayed at this hotel in a group of 6 to watch the Liam Gallagher gig, I think this hotel is not a 4 star or good value for money, having stopped at better hotels around Europe for similar prices a night that all knock spots off this one! but that could just be because Milan is so expensive! We upgraded to a junior suite and didn’t even get a proper shower! Which is the very least you should get! It was Just one attached to the taps with the water stopping when trying to reach it over your head. There was a horrible smell in the lobby, there was not much choice at breakfast where everyone ate at the same big table which I thought was odd, and when we couldn’t get a taxi after the concert we rang the hotel to ask them book us one to pick us up because we were freezing and lost in the middle of nowhere, but they couldn’t care less so we had to walk which took forever. I was just expecting better value and service for the money, if I ever returned to Milan I would stop a different hotel closer to the centre.

We spent two nights in this very nice hotel, located in a district close to city center (if weather is good in 20min walking distance you reach piazza S. Babila) great value for money, very good quality of breakfast, spacious room nicely furnished, free wifi, excellent service! So far the best option in Milan as price, service and quality!

I stayed in this hotel for two nights in May. There were three of us so we took a larger room which had a sofa bed which ate up most of the "living space" but it ws really not a problem in terms of size. There was still enough room for three women with an enormous mount of clothes and makeup to get ready on a Saturday night. Some of the photos suggest a rather strange orange plasticy design to the rooms but ours was more of the typical mocca/beige variety. Overall I found the hotel to be suitably stylish in a relaxed sort of way. The jacuzzi bath was a bit of an added luxury, but probably best not to add the rather nice bubble bath provided as we ended up drowning in bubbles!

The hotel itself was a little hard to find at first as the entrance is in a courtyard off the street. However its within easy walking distance of the duomo and is a great base for a weekend in Milan. I have to say this hotel really saved our trip to Milan because overall I found people a bit stuffy and rude in many of the shops and restaurants we visited. The food was pretty terrible everywhere. It poured with rain (not that that can be blamed on anyone) and I didn't find Milan to be nearly as beautiful as the other parts of Italy I have visited. In spite of this the hotel was really relaxing, the beds were luxoriously comfortable and the breakfast spread was a real treat. However, the best thing about this hotel was the staff. Everyone who greated us was incredibly friendly, more than happy to make suggestions, book taxis, look after luggage etc. and really made us feel welcome.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Milan for business or pleasure - but perhaps without a recommendation of Milan itself.

Stayed here for 2 nights on Business. Everyone is so helpful and I love the way that it is set up to maximise opportunities to meet fellow travellers. As soon as I arrived, was offered to order dinner in from outside, anything I wanted. Room was comfortable but my location meant i heard the rubbish collection and bottle collections in the morning!. was able to switch off heating thankfully as was really warm. Fabulous shower. rooms are simple enough but have everything you need. Internet worked with a cable and not wifi. Breakfast was communal. Would definitely consider staying here again in Milan given the welcome and and personal nature fo the staff that you will not find in brand hotels.
