We visited Milan for new year 2019/2020. Staying at the manin hotel. The hotel was very nicely decorated and the staff were very friendly.
When we arrived at the hotel we were told we had been 'upgraded'. Not sure what from or to because the room was pretty standard to us. Room 101, above reception - It was decorated nicely, with a slight view over the park. However we soon realised why we had been 'upgraded' as about 6am every morning (including new years day) a VERY noisy delivery would be made into reception (or around that area below our room) and would go on for ages. It appeared to be metal trolleys, probably laundry, and beer barrels. One morning it was so noisy we thought the building was going to come down!
The bar was quite nice, we had a snack of pizza and lasagne with a drink on the first evening. The lasagne was the same price as a beer at 10 euros, So quite pricey. The food was obviously microwaved, the lasagne was cold in the middle.
We put up with the noise each morning because we didn't want to cause a fuss, but probably should have asked for a new room.
On the day of check out we had a few hours from the check out time of midday to our flight, so we left our bags with them as they stated they'd be left safely in a locked cupboard. When we returned a few hours later to head to the airport they had lost our bags. They searched the cupboard several times, plus searched a second room. We were starting to panic after about half an hour. Luckily the young lad working there went and checked our room. Then had been sent back up there. We were relieved, but not impressed.

We travelled from the airport to Milan by train, that took an hour and cost 13 euros each. Pretty simple too. It was then an easy 15 minute walk to the hotel (or 2 stops on the metro).

We recommend 'the friends pub' for evening drinks. It's about 10 minutes from the hotel.

The hotel is only about 15 minutes to the main square, the dome. But closer to the shopping. Don't forget your credit card because its absolute full of designer shops. Just a stunning city.

It was a real pleasure to stay at this charming, comfortable and super friendly hotel. The staff at the reception were extremly friendly and helpful from the minute twe arrived. As a family with two teenagers, we booked two rooms on the same floor. Both rooms were very clean and useful, although our own room had a slight but constant smell of mold, which is actually the only reason I have rated this hotel 4 out of 5.
Breakfast was rich, fresh and very tasty, and what a nice surprise to be able to eat it both indoors or outdoors in the lovely garden outside! The hotel is located just a 15 minute walking distance to Teatro alla Scala and the Duomo area, and there is a nearby Metro station (Turati) which was very useful as well. Despite the central location, we did not suffer from any noise and the overall atmosphere was quiet. The cream of the crop however was the magnificent park just opposite the Hotel - Giardini Indro Montanelli - where we could walk and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Extra bonuses: We could sit down and order great dinners at the Hotel on evenings when we didn't fell like going out. In addition, there is a small but useful fitness room on the 1st floor.

The hotel was clean and well taken care of. A large variety of products was on offer for breakfast. The room was of a decent size and quiet enough. The price when I booked (February) was significantly lower than other 4 star hotels in the area. The best feature was the proximity to the Duomo. There is also a nice peaceful park right opposite , which could provide an opportunity for a pleasant walk after a hard day's work . I will probably return to this hotel sometime in the near future.

After SEVERAL requests just befor le midnight on. Wednesday and now at 12:30 Thursday AM they are still blasting music outside and I cannot sleep. One person at the front desk hung up on me when I asked him to stop the music. I now have less than six hours to sleep because of this rude staff and a party that they booked. They clearly do not care about making their customers happy. Our group has also not been allowed to used the outdoor garden for the past 3 nights because of this other loud group. The sink was clogged since I arrived and had to ask 4 times for it to be taken care of if the span of 3 days. They never brought us clean coffee cups or water glasses in the room or replenished the coffee for the 4 days that we have been here. The restaurant/lobby area is not air conditioned and very uncomfortable for that reason. I cannot wait to leave and I would totally dissuade you from staying here. If you want to enjoy a hotel and be able to get a good nights sleep and enjoy all areas of a facility, you should book elsewhere. Also not close to any good restaurants.

I booked this hotel based on there Terrace views. Many balconies in Europe only allow you to put one or 2 feet on the balcony but not sit there. This had adequate room. However, the gazebo above does not retract even though it looks like it should. It’s very claustrophobic and very little direct sunlight or breeze. The views are of a park but the park is overgrown with trees so there really isn’t any view. Because I chose this hotel based on the terrace, I would not return for that reason.

They did have valet service which was basically the Bellman taking your car to some remote location and then retrieving it when you needed it. But you had to pay each time directly to him when you retrieved the car. Also the valet was closed between 1 AM and 7 AM.

Staff was nice but not overly service friendly. It does not seem like there’s a culture of service here. It was relatively in a good location and very walkable. Bathroom had very little light. Room was typical European small, though we stayed in many hotels on this European vacation and never had to turn sideways to move between the bed and the bureau. Overall, nothing special.

The location is great, just a few minutes by taxi to Duomo (9 min), Castel Sforza (12 min), Milano Centrale (for those who will do trips outside Milan by train - 4 min), and most other places. The food in the morning is what we can usually find in other hotels, but the taste is much better. The room is ordinary, but generally clean. The cleaner should be taught how to fold well the towels as they daily looked unprofessional. But setting all these minute details for improvement aside, we found the staff extremely kind including the bell boys and the very accommodating and very helpful Ilaria who is also friendly, knows well the nature of her industry, and with awesome personality. Thank you, Ilaria. Thanks also to all those at the reception in the morning who were so naturally kind and helpful calling the taxi for us.

We spent 5 nights at this delightful hotel which is in close proximity to La Scala. Our spacious room was located on the top floor with a beautiful tree outside the window. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. Breakfast was served in a spacious dining room, one wall of which is covered with live plants. There is also a secluded outside patio leading out of the room surrounded by trees and each table is sheltered by an umbrella. Breakfast is wide-ranging with fruit, a selection of bread, croissants, buns and cakes plus eggs, pancetta, sausages and cheese. Best of all, the reception staff are extremely helpful, in particular, Alessia, who went well beyond the call of duty to help us get tickets for The Last Supper. Bravo, Alessia! Highly recommended as a place to stay.

I cannot imagine a worst experience
The rooms are extremely loud from the hotel « machinery » even if you turn the AC off which in itself is not manageable in the summer. So it is near to impossible to sleep.
The cleaning service is bad, throwing away your non finished water bottles.
The restaurant wins the star of nightmares: I waited 20min for a medium rare steak and I got a very well done steak which I sent back, 10min later they showed back up with the same steak that had been cooked even more. Then when I said this was an issue the waiter kept repeating medium rare and then just left. Insane.
My objective was to get a quick dinner for an early night and the whole ordeal took 45min and I left unfed.
Just terrible.

Location is great, an hour drive from Malpensa Airport and just half hour from Linate. The hotel is opposite a lovely dog walking park that was nice to stroll around each morning to start the day, and just 15min walk to Duomo and 20min walk in the other direction to the Shoah Memorial which is a must see for anyone visiting Milan in my opinion.

Check in staff are very welcoming and the process was nice and smooth. Lifts to the rooms are tiny and can only fit a couple of people comfortably.

Room was okay, nice bathroom with powerful shower and basic amenities. The bed was large and comfy. Plugs sockets either side of the bed and by the desk. No iron or ironing board in the room but I'm sure if I'd requested one it would have been provided. The phone in the room didn't make any sense and I had no idea how to call for reception or room service. WiFi was strong. There was also a stocked mini bar which I think is censored as well as a safe.

I did get noise from the room above me, people coming back late stomping around dragging chairs across the floor and talking quite loudly, more on the weekend than midweek to be fair. I'd recommend you request top floor to avoid this. You also here people slamming their doors but once everyone is in and settled it's actually very quiet.

Breakfast was a very simple affair, basic cooked options on the buffet as well as continental options. The coffee was very nice.

All in all a good 4* option in a good location of the city. If you can fly in and out of Linate Airport this a is definitely the closest option.

Great hotel, spotlessly clean and very friendly and helpful staff.

I’m a slightly quieter part of Milan, just north of the Dumo, but a relatively short walk to the main attractions.

The hotel is right next door to a nice park, and our top tip is the cafe in the middle of the park does some lovely sandwiches and cakes, and the beer there is the cheapest we could find in all the places in Milan that we visited.

You can easily go to the cathedral by the underground, it's just two stops. The nearest metero stop from the hotel is called Turati, and from there you can take the underground directly to Duomo (line 3). This line also stops at Milano Centrale (train station). There are restaurants and bars within a short walk from the hotel as well, especially along Via della Moscova.
