Be prepared to step into the lap of luxury at this gorgeous hotel. Every single detail has been perfected. The rooms are stunning and spacious, with luxurious bedding and good soundproofing. They have managed to blend perfectly the historic qualities of the hotel with modern luxury and overall good taste. The gym is well equipped and on the top floor...

We would definitely stay here again, our room was quite spacious, it was a bit older, but very classic and well maintained. Excellent service, nice lobby bar, cocktails, etc. Highly recommend and would stay here again in the future.

As far as I'm concerned the Principe di Savoia is without a doubt, and by far, the best Hotel in Milan. We had booked a room for 3 nights and after a trip to Venice and Monte Carlo decided to spend one more night at the hotel before our flight. Since our arrival we were impressed by the scenographic entrance...

Friends of ours booked us into the Principe di Savoia after a recommendation from their son. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was not a 'grand hotel of past eras'. They just don't make them like this anymore. The hotel is certainly older but has been wonderfully upgraded with the only exceptions (that I saw) being the elevators...

We used this hotel as our base in Milan before travelling to Lake Como and then after returning from there before heading back to the UK. It's is a massive property, ideally located near the centre of Milan and near the train station. We loved the rooms that we were assigned, both times we checked into the property. The rooms...

It beats Park Hyatt, where we used to stay, in cost-benefit. 2 minor negative aspects: "too much information" in the decor of the rooms, and the pool which had some really noisy kids playing in it. A matter of taste and impolite guests apart, this hotel does have quite a few positive features. It has Repubblica metro station next-door, and...

Actually all was cool. Lazy italian service, but that's a natural thing and we got uses to it long ago. Quite satisfying and heavily overpriced breakfast, but that's also almost acceptable. All more a less like in a standard italian ***** facility. But one thing, that in our opinion should be reconsidered by the Dorchester Collection management - the quality...

This is a sophisticated, beautiful and luxurious hotel in the centre of Milan. The interior is très chic. The main thing that is letting it down is the service. It can be unprofssional to markedly unhurried at best with a sometimes arrogant attitude. To be improved. Waiters do not seem to grasp the concept of apologising when something goes wrong....

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
