We love staying at the Spadari and visit twice a year. The rooms are comfortable and charming, the breakfast options and the breakfast room is excellent and the staff are universally friendly, helpful and kind. We always leave looking forward to our return!

Hotel's Favourite
This hotel is superb in every way. The location is perfect, right in the centre near the Duomo yet quiet and relaxing. The rooms are delightful and the breakfast full of delicious options. I’m saving the best for last: The people who work there, all of them, whether it’s the front desk, the breakfast and aperitivo (free by the way) ladies or the cleaning staff, you will be greeted with a smile and nothing is too much trouble. It’s a small hotel with a big heart and one that will leave many memories. I can’t wait to go back for the third time!

The Hotel Spadari Al Duomo is a very, very gracious and classy boutique hotel. They go out of their way to make your stay pleasant, from flowers in the room to chocolates at the reception to the remarkable offerings at the breakfast buffet and the evening drinks in the lounge. All the personnel are exceptionally warm and delightful, the housecleaning is impeccable, and the location is ideal. One note of caution: it is a boutique hotel, not a luxury hotel, though the prices are close to those of a luxury accommodation. So if the distinction matters to you, be warned.

Room Tip: We had a decent size room. Not so much storage, but I use packing cubes which made things very easy.

We stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Spadari. The hotel is centrally located, modern and clean with well appointed rooms. We stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking the street front which is unique for a hotel only blocks from the Duomo. The staff is friendly and attentive - truly exceptional. The included excellent breakfast, evening Prosecco, snacks, minibar and water were all perks to an already wonderful experience. The front desk staff was always ready to help with recommendations for touring or dinner. Our favorite restaurants were La Fettunia and Cantina Della Vetra, both within easy walking distance to the hotel. We also did a day trip to Lake Como with Tours by Lucca which was exceptional. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Milan.

If there were six stars, I’d give ‘em. Lovely boutique hotel within walking distance to the Duomo. Peck’s fine delicatessen is next door, book a table for lunch or just browse and an award winning gelato shop is on the other. Perfect We chose an interior room, spacious, prompt housekeeping, one of my pet peeves is returning late in the afternoon to an untidy room, good shower. The front desk was very helpful and went beyond the call of duty for us. We purchased train tickets to Udine from the front desk. We didn’t realize the transfer ticket lacked a QR code. We called the hotel while we were on the platform in Venice. They got the code to us. Of course, no one checked our ticket, but still..The concierge called us in Udine to make sure we arrived safely without incident. Now that’s service..customer for life.

Staying at the Hotel Spadari may well have been the best decision I made in planning a trip to Milan with my wife and another couple. Based on reviews on this site I phoned 7 months in advance of our stay in October 2023. We wanted to be on the same floor with our friends and the staff made it a priority so it would happen - in fact we got adjacent rooms. After a tiring overseas flight, we were met at the airport by an excellent driver booked by the hotel. Upon our late morning arrival at the hotel we were greeted warmly and made comfortable with cappucini and pastries while we waited for the rooms to be ready. When we got to our room, the second luggage rack I'd requested weeks earlier was in place. During our 4 night stay the staff made restaurant recommendations and bookings, phoned for taxis, and arranged a driver to take us to another city at the end of our stay. One of the staff used her excellent English to phone the small B&B in our next destination to be sure that we and the hostess there were on the same page about our two-couple room arrangements. As others have mentioned, the breakfasts are outstanding and the housekeeping is meticulous. If we ever go back to Milan, I'll hold off booking our flights until I've first secured our accommodation at Spadari al Duomo.

This charming hotel is located in an ideal spot for sight-seeing, public transport, shopping and access to the Duomo and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Staff goes out of their way to welcome you and make you feel comfortable. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and had a lovely 6th floor room with an outside terrace overlooking the streets and rooftops below. The bed was extremely comfortable with an excellent assortment of pillows and housekeeping did an amazing job of cleaning and sanitizing every day. Large bath towels and a wide array of bathroom toiletries and supplies were also provided. Non-alcoholic beverages were complimentary in the mini frig; alcoholic beverages were priced accordingly. An electric kettle with instant coffee and tea in the room was a nice touch. A lovely dining room and breakfast staff greeted you each morning. Eggs were cooked to order and the buffet offered a generous assortment of breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, yogurts, juices and pastries. A pancake station was also quite popular with guests. A cocktail hour was available in the same space and adjacent lounge each evening. Decorated cookies and assorted candies were offered throughout the reception area each day. There is only one small elevator but it rarely required a wait. Front desk staff is always attentive and welcoming. On the day of our departure, we had a 6:30 am flight. Staff arranged for the 4 am taxi AND had a bag of breakfast foods for us to take along on our way to the airport! We really hated leaving the Spadari al Duomo. It was a home away from home and will be a wonderful memory in the years to come. Grazie!

I just spent two nights at this hotel with my 17 yr old granddaughter- it was a perfect introduction to Italy. Classy with just a bit of an edge. This is a small boutique hotel with great service. The staff at the desk were always available to give us advice -Maps to a local green market, information on how to take the local trolley( the woman at the desk had some tickets for the trolley so we didn’t have that hassle), perfect pick for local restaurants. Great breakfast options also with friendly helpful staff. The room was modern with really comfortable, well designed furniture. Great location just a block from Duomo.
