Absolutely excellent experience in this fantastic Hotel. Everything is really perfect and every service provided was largely satisfactory. Just returned from a fab five day break in Milan, what an incredible City. The NH Collection is in a perfect location, just a five minute walk from the main square, hosting the magnificent Duomo. The hotel is spotlessly clean and presented well but we did have a few issues. We arrived earlier than the allocated 3pm check in. A room was available but the hotel requested a charge of 50 euros for a check in at 12 noon, just three hours extra - we declined. On our second day, we arrived back from a day out to find our room door open. It had been cleaned but the door appeared broken and would not close - again this was soon addressed by maintenance. The plug in the bath would not move, the phone in the bathroom kept falling off the wall and the shower area needed attention. There were a number of issues that were addressed immediately but for an NH Collection hotel, there are improvements to be made.

The bed appeared to be made but on closer inspection was covered in hair underneath the duvet. I made this discovery late at night and rang reception, they told me housekeeping would come up to remake the bed (instead of just offering me a new room). Instead a member of staff came up, gave me a pile of sheets without saying anything and walked off. When I tried to ask if housekeeping were coming he threw his hands up and continued walking away. I went to make the bed myself (which was very unpleasant without gloves as the sheets were not clean). They had not given my pillowcases so I had to again ring reception to let her know. She asked me did I really need pillow cases - at this point I was totally baffled by how terrible the service is in a 5 star hotel. Waited another 15 minutes for the man to bring up pillowcases, at this point it was past 2 am.
The next day not only was there no compensation/apology offered but even though my bed appeared to have been made properly by housekeeping staff it was again full of hair. This was very strange as the sheets I put on the night before did not have hair on them. At this point I insisted on being given a new room and this one was fine. There was a different man on reception who was more helpful and he let me inspect the room first to make sure it was ok.

I must say that from the outside the hotel does not look great, the building is old and gray. However, once you cross the entrance the atmosphere changes definitely for the better! Probably my assessment is affected by having visited the hotel at Christmas time, in fact every decoration was artfully designed to create a magical environment. I found great modernity, generous rooms in size, impeccable furnishings and services (chocolate on the pillow in the evening is always a pleasant cuddle). The breakfast is so rich that I really could not say what was missing, with an all-baby corner with games and TV for those traveling with children. The staff was really exquisite in solving every request. I tried the restaurant for dinner, ate very well at a very reasonable cost compared to the locals outside. Finally the location is great, in three minutes walk you get to the Duomo, and both metro and bus stop very close. You can certainly find cheaper accommodation in the city, but considering the level of service this hotel offers, it is worth the price. Super recommended!

Terrible Customer Service & Lack of Accountability – Avoid This Hotel! I had a truly frustrating and disappointing experience with NH Collection President in Milan. I accidentally left a Dyson Airwrap (worth €600) in my room, immediately realized it upon departure, and contacted the hotel within hours to retrieve it. Instead of prompt assistance, I received delayed, dismissive, and unhelpful responses from their team.
I reached out via email, phone, and even Instagram, only to be ignored for days. By the time they responded, they conveniently claimed they "couldn’t find" my item. This is a five-star hotel, yet their lost-and-found process is either severely flawed or completely dishonest. Housekeeping failed to return a large, expensive item left under the sink, and instead of taking responsibility, the management repeatedly brushed me off.
To make matters worse, their final response was to offer me a one-night stay discount instead of properly compensating me—as if I would ever stay at a hotel that loses guest belongings and refuses to investigate! Everything was excellent in this hotel!! The rooms were spacious, modern, comfortable, with good quality mattresses, sheets, large, impeccable and fluffy towels, there were many towels of different sizes, as well as a bathrobe and slippers. We booked this hotel based on the online descriptions of its two-room suites. We had just come from having a very enjoyable stay at a swanky hotel in France, and wanted to continue the experience at a nice place in Milan. We should have checked with many of the online review sites to see what we would actually be getting. The room design, to be honest, was just a bit of a disappointment compared to the photos in their ads. It was also more expensive than the swanky hotel housed in a converted palace that we were in just the day before in Paris. The suite did have a separate living room, but the furniture wasn't as high-end as we thought we might be getting. The amenities in the bathroom were also just standard. The chocolates laid out for us each night were very nice, though.
This was February, so the weather was rather cloudy and grey. One of the pluses of the room was that it had a huge balcony. If we were there in better weather, we would have made good use if it.
The cleanliness of the linen was a small issue and we had to ask for some replacements.
The breakfast buffet was a major plus to the stay. It was huge and had a wonderful selection of local food. I ate very well. Even though the previous hotel we stayed at in France was leaps and bounds ahead of this one in overall quality and service, NH definitely had the better breakfast. Once small complaint for the buffet was that the wait staff couldn't keep up with everything as it was very busy, so we had to wait until we were almost finished with our meal before our beverages arrived.
The other major plus, of course, is location. It's just a few hundred yards from the Duomo. so very convenient to visit the church itself, as well as all of the boutiques.
The stay was fine, but we will most likely choose a different hotel for our next stay. However, if you want to be near the major tourist venues (the Duomo, La Scala, various museums, and the boutiques), they are all in easy walking distance. It is also just a little removed from that area, so not congested with tourists around the hotel itself. So this would be a good choice for those looking for that convenience, we just didn't feel it was worth what we paid for it.

This is not a 5 star hotel. I am one of the brand's Platinum Tiered members and was treated as if I had never stayed on their properties.
The room was very very warm and the temperature could not be adjusted, so we were sweating at night. The room seemed to have a main water pipe going through the ceiling that sounded like a waterfall all night long, you can vividly hear it on the video I recorded. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and pillows were not good, everything was as hard as a rock. It was the worst sleep I have gotten. The water from the shower and sink in the bathroom would get everywhere so the countertops would be soaked. I asked for a US Wall Adaptor and they said they would send someone up right away... I waited for almost an hour and no one came. When I went to the front desk they said they only give it to people in person, so why didn't they say this on the phone? The accuracy of the bill was also not correct and there was no one to fix it. When I checked out they charged my card on file without telling me the details of the bill, then said "we are done here", then immediately took the next person in line. This was terrible service. With my Platinum status, I was supposed to get turndown service and in-room welcome gifts, which were forgotten on most days. I was also entitled to free breakfast along with late checkout with my status- I was charged for my breakfast (which still hasnt been rectified) and denied the late check-out. My Membership ID also wasnt added to my second reservation so I haven't received credit on my account. Breakfast was not worth $18 EUR per person, there was moldy fruit, which i have photos of, the service was so slow, and they forgot our orders and we waited for almost an hour for them to make us an omelette. After the delay they didn't even apologize for the mistake they made. The common rooms and hallways were dirty, our room wasnt the cleanest, and there was construction surrounding the hotel; normally a 5-Star hotel would at least acknowledge the construction and apologize for any inconvenience- there was no comment on that at all. Only positives: walking distance to the Duomo, and the door men were the nicest people in the hotel. Overall not a five star experience at all, more like 2.5 to 3 star at most. I am very disappointed given there are other options in the area and i chose to stay loyal to the brand.

We felt the 'welcome and thoughtfulness, as well as' excellence that distinguishes the' Hotel.
We booked a night on the occasion of the wedding anniversary, and found surprises and constant attention.
The room was spotless and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and courteous.
We had an aperitif with a variety of appetizers much higher than average and all of excellent quality.
After a walk in the area we returned to the Verzee restaurant for dinner where we enjoyed the 'elegant and welcoming, the staff always friendly and attentive to our every need, every dish was prepared with extreme care and skill. The view from the suite is magnificent.
