We had enjoyable stay at the Doria Grand. It is a five minute walk to the Central Train Station and has two subway stops close by. The breakfast was one of the best we had in Italy with alot of choices. The rooms were very comfortable and an early check in was no problem (it was off season).

I trust this site 100%. I have also learnt that travellers expectations vary, depending on their country of origin and whether the trip is business or leisure.3 of us stayed at the hotel for 2 nights on business in November. The staff were polite and helpful - and I don't speak Italian. We got our messages, and I used the...

The staff sucks; they are unfriendly and not helpful. If you have never been to Milan, good luck getting any help from them. And I even speak a little bit of Italian. Also, the housekeeping staff took cash from our luggage (which was well hidden). Parking is an additional 28 Euro per day. Parking on the street is impossible. The...

I made reservations months in advance and the hotel had our reservation, email confirmation in my hand, without problem. The rooms was just lovely, the staff were very friendly. It was August so the restaurant hotel was not open but there were other cafes close by. It was walking distance to the train station and very close to the subway...

Staying in Bicocca

Neighbourhood Profile
Bicocca
Although Bicocca is a peripheral district, many visitors will find it appealing. The district is enveloped by the immense Parco Nord (North Park), one of the largest parks in Europe. Inside is the theater Arcimboldi, one of the most important contemporary theaters where concerts and shows are organized. In the same area, there is the University of Milan Bicocca, whose distinct architecture rivals a movie set. Coffee shops, a multiplex and a shopping center are in the campus, along with the Fondazione Hangar Bicocca, one of the most famous museums of Contemporary Art.
