I needed a hotel near Milan Central station just to spend a night before going to the airport. Reached around 11 PM. The check-in process was efficient and the staff were helpful. They also gave me a free room upgrade. The room I got was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast next morning was just superb! I felt I got excellent value...

The location is ideal (€20 taxi fare from the airport to the hotel), the breakfast is good enough with a reasonable selection of food, and the staff are friendly and courteous. But the rooms are tired and in need of refurbishment. Although the NH brand and decor is consistent as you would expect, there is a noticable difference in the...

This was our third stay at the NH and the staff have always been so helpful and friendly that we have never wanted to try another hotel. The rooms are fantastic and the breakfast with fresh juice lovely. All reception staff speak good English and the location is good. Will be back in September.

I have stayed at the NH Machiavelli several times over the past year or so. The hotel is not luxurious, but it is comfortable and well located and it is good value. (The decor is exactly like every other NH hotel I have stayed at; the brand is nothing if not consistent, and consequently I know what to expect every...

Recently stayed here for a week for work and was a little disappointed as it is definitely not a 4 star hotel. On the plus side - in a residential area but within walking distance to shops and restaurants, good size bedroom, wifi availability, taxi stop at your front door, friendly staff and varied breakfast selection to chose from. On...

I use this hotel always when I'm in Milano for business trips. It's clean and the breakfast is very good. It's near the red metro line, which is important for me. Nearby you'll find many good restaurant to enjoy the evening.

Location, price, breakfast, staff. Those were the highlight of NH Machiavelli. My 6 year old had come into Milan after skiing. First, reaching the hotel was a snap. Better still, the subway was 2 blocks. Staff proved quick, attentive, helpful. Breakfast staff were quite good about getting food my son liked (although the coffee at breakfast was not the best)....

We stayed in the hotel from December 27-31 (4 nights) and we enjoyed it indeed. We had a double room (in fact two hotel rooms) which seperated with a sliding big door, 2 bathrooms, 2 TVs and etc. The room was spacious and the hotel provided us with an extra bed for a 6-year old child without charging. Breakfast was...

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
