Just returned from a weekend stay at the Canova. The hotel is very close to Centrale train/underground station and within walking distance from the shopping area of Corso Buenos Aires. Our double room was spacious and recently refurbished, with a modern bathroom that included a jacuzzi shower, safe box, LCD TV with satellite (Sky), air conditioning, etc. There's also wireless...

The Canova Hotel is very close to the main train station in Milan and the subway stop there. Single rooms are small but well appointed. Air conditioning is individually controlled in the room and much appreciated, and the hotel is quiet. Internet access is easily purchased in the lobby. The included breakfast is light and nothing special, but met our...

I will recommend this hotel primarily because of its convenient location, just across the Milan Central Station. The hotel is well maintained with friendly and helpful staff. The size of the room is average and it has good bathrooms. I must mention that it has really nice pressure shower with different outlets. As requested, we got two adjoining rooms and the...

For the money, this is a great hotel. People complained about the decor, yes it is dated, but who cares? I don't travel to check out the hotel, but rather the city. There is a subway stop right at the corner, maybe a 1-2 minute walk? Very close. The breakfast is okay, not the best I have had in Europe,...

It was much better than we had expected, the room were spacious and clean, the staff were friendly and breakfast included. The staff even kept our...

We stayed in the Canova Hotel for 4 nights. Very near the Stazione Centrale and so very central to all areas of Milan. Also for those who like walking, this hotel is very accessible. We walked from the hotel daily to most areas we visited. The room was very clean, sheets were changed every day and room very well cleaned...

We stayed for three days at the beginning of November and had a great time. The location is right by the central station and enabled us to get around very easily. The staff were friendly and I wouldnt hesitate recommending this hotel. Only one down side but it didnt bother us, was the prostitutes plying their trade, but hey, it's...

This hotel is 5 minutes walk from the Central Railway Station & Metro. The Hop on/off bus is at the end of the street. It's a tired hotel but judging by the rooms they are trying to modernise. Some are dark and small but the one on the top is huge with a huge bathroom. If you mention a problem...

The room was very spacious and the breakfast was exellent. The hotel provided many kinds of bread, biscuits, croissants, ham and cheese, all-you-can-eat. The staff are friendly and very helpful too. The self-service restaurant close to hotel was cheap and tasty. Will come back to this hotel again if we have chance!!!

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
