The Andreola Hotel was very impressive. The room was well sized and had everything we needed - including a clean, big bathroom with great shower. Breakfast was superb, and had everything from pastries and bread to eggs and sausages. Staff are extremely friendly and willing to help. The location is great - 2 minutes from the Central station that connects...

Ok hotel near central station. Rooms comfortable, breakfast a little meager, not expensive, we had a street facing room, small balcony but nice to be able to open. Higher floors have serious wifi issues. Chose a room on the 1st floor if wifi is important.

I recently stayed two nights (not consecutive) at Andreola Hotel. I wasn't sure what to expect given the fact that it was located near the train station which I often associate as an undesirable location. But what a lovely surprise! It's an easy walk from the train station, very nice interior, the staff were very pleasant, and the rooms great....

This place is just literally a stones throw away from the Centrale station. The staff is friendly and accomodating. The hotel is oozing with character from the moment you step inside the hotel reception up to the hallway to the lift and up to your rooms. This might not be some peoples taste but for others it is. As you...

We stayed 8 nights in Milan and wanted to be close to the train station so as to travel to many of the other towns and cities in northern Italy. This hotel was ideal as a base. It is very clean and comfortable and the service is lovely. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. A nice,...

Clean, comfortable, quiet, close to transport and fairly priced. The breakfast which was included in our price was also very good. Although it lacks certain amenities of the larger - and more expensive hotels - ( like no swimming pool or spa), one could do a lot worse than choose this very decent hotel.

Never ever stay in this hotel! Front serve desk personnel (middle age man) is very rude, never speak a word to welcome us and never do any introduction about where's our room/where's our the lift/where breakfast will be served during checking yet telling us "Do not forget to pay the tourist tax" with unfriendly tone(without even say please). Come on,...

Had a good stay at the hotel, the beds are hard and there is no tea and coffee in the room but the hotel is very clean and friendly and the breakfast room and restaurant are excellent. It's very close to the station and a short walk to the shops.

Stayed three nights in a double room. Rooms are well decorated and clean. The bed was comfy and though the room is a little on the small side this was not a problem as we came to explore the city. Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel Andreola Central is one of the many historical 4-star hotels in Milan that opened at the same time the Central train station moved to its current location, originally behind the Spanish walls (currently Piazza della Repubblica). The hotel is located in Via Scarlatti, an extension to the Central train station's Galleria delle Carrozze which ends in Corso Bueonos Aires. Over the long and venerable years since its establishment, many VIPs have patronized the hotel: Fausto Coppi, the bicycle champion, prize-winning boxer Primo Carnera and Italian soccer stars during the sixties when the first player contracts were negotiated. ... more   less
