Stayed here during a conference on a recommendation of someone who lived in the area. Good value. Okay location. Easy to get around on the tram. The staff are not particularly that friendly although that may be a language issue. Clean. The shared areas are quite shabby and small but again, we didn't pay too much.

The only this we liked about this hotel is how close it was to Porta Garibaldi so that we could get out of there as fast as possible. GROSS hotel! How it has 4 stars on TripAdvisor is beyond me. Our room reeked of cigarette smoke, there was a thick layer of dust on everything, the WiFi did not work...

we stayed at the hotel just for a night. milan hotel prices are quite high, the hotel san guido is cheap and well located. Its just 20 minutes walk to city center- duomo. It is so close to milano garibaldi station which is one of the center station for all milan internal city metro stops and also intercity train stops...

A beautiful, family owned and run hotel, full of beautiful furniture, antique clocks and lights etc. Within easy reach of both City Centre, on foot or by public transport. Also 5 minutes walk from the large new Commercial Development of Porto Nuevo.

Stayed here for 4 nights with friends. Made the mistake of taking a rogue cab from Milano Centrale for 35 euros (should've been 10 euros!). The hotel is older but well maintained and very charming. Located just outside the center, there is a tram stop right outside the hotel's door with 4 tram lines that take you to the Duomo,...

My husband and I stayed at the San Guido recently on our 3 night stay in Milan. We`d chosen this hotel for the location, good reviews on Trip, and the price (most Milan hotels being astronomically priced when we booked). The hotel is in the Brera district of Milan, about 15 minutes walk out of the centre but close by...

The best thing about the hotel was the location, close to Garibaldi Station. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, but the room was very poor. There was not enough light, the décor was very dark and the bathroom (no bath just a shower) small. There was a big hole in the wall behind the wardrobe. The wallpaper was stained...

Very clean, very nicely and elegantly decorated. Old world charm. Excellent location, close to the castle and the center. Very clean, very friendly staff, Sandro extremely helpful, all of them were. Good decor, antique furniture, clean and quite. Old small hotel, run by same family for many years. Will stay there when in Milan . Highly reccomand.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a couple of nights. This is a nice hotel, about a 10 minute walk from the metro, and ends up being quite close to town. Our room was a decent size, with a desk and decent sized bathroom. The places looks quite arty, and vintage-y. The staff are friendly, and helpful. The concierge...

After staying at a nearby very modern hotel, we moved to this elegant hotel and were very pleased with our stay there. The hotel is well appointed with artwork, antique furniture, and carpets. The front desk team were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were relatively small but clean and quiet. The only limitation was a lack of control of...

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
