A very nice find near Orta San Giulio, everything is brand new and extremely clean. The rooms are large with nice balconies overlooking the garden, complete with chairs and hammock. Plenty of storage space and a big bathroom. They are very attentive to details and it shows in their little welcome gifts ;). The breakfast was incredible and I would recommend staying there if only to eat. There was an amazing spread of local cheeses, charcuterie, savoury cakes and delicious sweets. The staff was very kind and generous. You can easily reach the center by foot by bike and it is just a few minutes' walk from the train station.

A wonderful restaurant and B&B. Located close to Orta San Giulio and the San Giulio town you can get ithem by walk in 20 minuutes. The room and services are excellent, including a tablet in each room (that's first time I have this tool in a B&B). The breakfast is completed and good with local handmade products. The restaurant has a fix menu with four starters, 2 main course a 2 second courses. The sweet are 4. All is so good. I suggest to taste the local Idromel (a "wine" by honey) really a good surprise.

We stayed here for one night before leaving the next morning from Malpensa, and we are so glad we did! The room we had was sstylish and spacious, with a huge terrace, a well appointed bathroom, and even a loft with a bed for our daughter. The reception area offers cake, coffee, and both bubbly and still water all day long, and there is a lovely seating area in the garden, which is surrounded by fruit trees. We were lucky enough to be there on a Thursday so that we could enjoy the 32-euro zillion-course tasting menu at the restaurant. It was one of the best meals I have had in my many years living in and visiting Italy, on par with much more expensive restaurants in NY and SF. They were kind enough to prepare something simple for our daughter, who actually ate every bite of her meal for the first time on our trip. The farm is not that far from the train tracks, as others have noted, but the only trains we saw were small electric commuter trains that do not make much noise, and in any case, the doors and windows must be quadruple paned because we could not hear a thing inside the room. Do not let the presence of nearby train tracks deter you from visiting.

The other reviews are right - welcoming, great breakfast with local products - no plastic wrapping in sight - even real egg scrambled eggs, comfortable bed, lovely room - even a comfortable chair with a reading lamp. We were there a weekend and there were very few trains and we weren't bothered at all - with the windows closed we hardly heard them. There were a few more on Monday but it still didn't bother us and in fact, was interesting because they were loaded with trucks going to the Simplon Tunnel. It's a bit of a distance from the city center - some people walked it but we didn't. The personnel was very helpful with suggestions of things to do, where to eat, etc. We got a picnic basket from them one day - fabulous. The restaurant next door was very good - many courses but reasonable portions. The amuse-bouches were a bit adventurous but the main plates were classics done right with local products. Excellent - about 30 euros for the meal and the price of the wines was reasonable and excellent service. We are already talking about going back.
