After hearing several recent stories about hotels hiding cameras in their suites and secretly recording guests, me and my girlfriend did a sweep of the room for any hidden cameras. What we found were these devices on the radiators with secret cameras built inside of them. These devices were directly pointed towards our bed and the toilet. Now we’re not suggesting that they were there to spy on us (they could have been infrared cameras possibly?) but they did make us (especially my girlfriend) feel very uncomfortable and impacted the enjoyment of our stay. We would’ve felt a lot more comfortable had these devices not been directly facing our bed or our toilet. Other than that the room was nice and the breakfast was good.
Very pleasant stay in Torino. Small hotel and I was right up the top which suited me, despite a sloping ceiling. Friendly service and all okay. I decided not to bother with breakfast though it was available if pre-ordered.
Brilliant location just 5 minutes walk from the train station. The hotel is great value for money and would 100% recommend! Friendly, polite, and accommodating staff. 5 euros per person for breakfast was really reasonable with a nice roof top setting.
Extremely clean and friendly hotel near the central part of the city. Large, modern rooms with comfortable beds. Breakfast is very good value. We couldn’t find fault with anything in this hotel! Highly recommended for small groups travelling together.
We booked two rooms as a family group. We were given an apartment, which was excellent. Bedrooms were spacious and had original features. Breakfast had lots of variety and excellent value for money. The outside seating terrace for breakfast was lovely. The hotel staff were friendly and really helpful with directions into the city centre including local public transport options. A very short walk to Torino Porta Susa railway station.
Clean, well maintained hotel very close to the city center. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and had a nice balcony. There was no safe or fridge in the room which was unexpected since most American hotels have that. I will definitely be staying here again on future trips to Turin.
Convenient for Porta Susa station, quiet enough, helpful staff, good value even if it means a walk into town, and they brought me breakfast on a tray to my room every morning. They gave me a spacious 5th floor studio which got the early morning light - two rooms, each with a window that opened outwards.
The hotel room was quite big and very clean modern bathroom. Nice location very nice polite staff. The only negative and the only reason I haven’t gave it a five star is because every 20 minutes I don’t know if it was the tram or an underground but you heard something on tracks make quite a noise for few seconds even though the trains I think stop in the middle of the night so it was maybe between 12 and five in the morning that it’s stopped. Maybe different rooms in different places in the hotel don’t hear it as much. Wouldn’t put me off stopping there again
Upon arrival in a hot summer afternoon last week, I was so unimpressed to queue outside the second-floor Hotel Porta Susa that I thought I'd made a mistake when booking. How wrong was I - that was the only blemish to an excellent stay, and quite a forgettable one. The service, room condition, location and facilities were flawless. The staff were most attentive and solicitous. The terrace for coffee had excellent location and views, day and night. I'll be back to a lovely city and I'll stay at this lovely hotel.
This hotel is close to the Porta Susa train station in a quiet neighbourhood outside of the downtown -- note that it is a far walk to the main city centre. The hotel includes a complimentary continental breakfast with an indoor and outdoor terrace seating area. The room is very simple with basic amenities. Some updates are definitely needed such as the carpeting, shower, and layout of the room -- there’s a weird loft area which makes the room feel smaller than it is; however, the hotel does put in a good effort to make guests comfortable. The hotel offered early check-in with baggage storage. The hotel is very basic and lacks character and Italian charm, but the staff were nice and we enjoyed having the complimentary breakfast.
