Positive:
- Spacious and clean bedroom
- Very close to the city center and train station.
- Well assorted breakfast
- It’s an old building, but you don’t notice in the bedroom.

Negative:
- The fridge doesn’t work very well.
- We are sensitive to morning light and the curtains don’t work.
- There are two old elevators, and sadly, only one worked during our stay. You can imagine.

This was good for a one night stop and especially convenient for the Porto Nuovo Station which is why we had chosen it.
The rooms was comfortable and the bathroom was fine. Breakfast quite acceptable. The staff were helpful and directed us to a suitable eating spot, and it was very close to where we picked up a walking tour, and we could leave our luggage there, before heading off on the train to Florence. We would certainly return next time we find ourselves in Turin.

The hotel is very conveniently, located to the main train station. It’s only one block away. This is truly a hidden gem in Torino. The staff was excellent, the room was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was larger than normal, and the breakfast exceeded expectations, in the variety and quality of food offered. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. I stayed two days and enjoyed both of them in every way. The hotel staff was accommodating and helpful in providing recommendations about what to see and about how to get to various locations. A great stay!

Was booked with work. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The room was clean and the bathroom pretty good. It is just a very tired hotel that really needs some money spent and updating.

If you choose to stay it won’t be a bad experience - but also won’t be amazing.

Room Tip: Room 123 is really pokey and the a/c didn’t work when I was there. Ask for a change of room.

Splendid Hotel near the Porta Nuova train station. Friendly staff, Beautiful Breakfast. Very easily access 5 minutes walk from Piazza San Carlo and 10 minutes walk from Piazza Castello. We had a room facing the courtyard, very quiet. The room was big and the bathroom was clean. Perfect air conditioning and WiFi. I think it should be more than a 3-star hotel.

Stayed here for almost a week during the winter and the heater really helps. The check in and check out process was smooth although the staff is not fluent in English.

The internet connectivity was consistent throughout my stay.

I got best room with balcony view to puorto nuova station - compared to my colleagues who got the run down room.

The breakfast served was nice.

Deceived! Hotel room is small and 80s. Noise from the street and hotel corridor. One of the elevators doesn't feel safe because the floor is flimsy. No breakfast included. Hard to find public parking and private parkings were full on friday night. Central location and clean. Had to buy earplugs.

This is a Best Western chain hotel but is not at all 'chain feeling'. The building and reception are nice and the rooms are very large for European standards. The bathroom was equally generous. We found this to be a big change from the teeny rooms/baths we've found elsewhere.

The staff was very nice and helpful, especially with driving directions. The breakfast was adequate but not special. Be sure to check the bestwestern website for special deals. We were able to book here for an amazing 72 euros per night using an internet deal rate from their site. The staff at the desk told me that if we'd checked in off the street that same night we would've paid 140 euros. Check the website and look up "best available rate".

The downside is that we didn't think this was a good area of town at all. It's really dirty and there were a lot of people hanging out on the street drinking when we arrived at 11pm on a Saturday. There were still some drinking on the corners on Sunday morning at 11am. The hotel advertises valet parking but it wasn't available because we arrived so late. No street parking either. They told us to go to the garage about 200m. away which was fine, but walking back was a little unnerving. It is near the Porto Nuova rail station, and is similar to the areas you'd find around train stations in major cities. It definitely didn't feel safe at night.

We didn't go to sites in the area because we were just staying the night and then driving to another part of Italy, so don't know how close/far it is from those things. It's a great value with generous rooms. If you arrive during the day and get back to your room early-ish you may not find any problems with the area. Not sure we'd stay again, but just for that reason.

I have stayed in a couple of Italiain Best Westerns & they do seem to have a consistent pattern. They are often small & have their own, slightly quirky character. This one was no exception. The rooms were OK but of a slightly odd shape- the bathroom stretched for miles but was very narrow-loved the 70s style tiling though to be fair very clean & a good powerful& hot shower. The top floor location meant the room was in the attic- the shape of the roof was reminiscent of a railway carriage.

Nice breakfast buffet- fresh croissants with apricot jam filling was a new one on me though you did have to be reasonable quick off the mark to get the full choice of breakfast items. Perhaps the menu would grate after 3 or 4 days but then I don't think this is a long stay hotel for many.

Friendly staff too & any chambermaid who can successfully tidy up after me deserves a tip (yup, she got one!)

Hotel is in an excellent location being right next door to the station at the bottom of Via Roma. Very handy for the 40 minute bus ride to the airport as well.

Like it? Yes I did. Recommend it? Yes I would- more than that I have yet to have a bad experience in an Italian Best Western- a great choice for city break tourists.
