Good stay for a budget friendly option. Relatively clean, helpful staff. Would return if I needed somewhere affordable to rest my head for the night breakfast included was also a bonus. Good location.
It all starts lovely… easy walk from the Porto Susa station, looks good from the outside, welcoming staff at the reception, provide you with all the necessary information at the start giving you two leaflets with 10 and 20% discounts at local restaurants, but the real experience starts once you enter your room. We got checked-in, got our room card and headed up to the lift up to the top floor into room 607. When opening the room, the buzzer is so loud that once you’re in there, you can hear all of your neighbors arriving. Room size is okay, pretty average, looks good at first sight. Equipped in a small tv, huge mirror, 2 cabinets, a wardrobe, a safe, kettle with tea bags and coffee sachets next to it and a mini bar from which you can enjoy a nice warm drink since it’s not even plugged in. Good luck with plugging it in yourself, actually… good luck with plugging anything in. If you want to charge your phone, you have to sacrifice the night lamp and that’s only if you manage to plug your charger in without the socket falling out of the wall. If you unplug the kettle, you get an extra charging spot, so that makes it two for the whole room! The bed is two singles pushed together (be careful not to fall in) with no duvet cover (?). The room itself is covered in dust, bedside tables even had glass stains on it, presumably from previous guests. Same goes for the bathroom, pictures of vent attached. The whole room REALLY needs a refurbishment, I get wear&tear but the walls are literally breaking apart, tiles are broken, there are holes in the floor, mould in the shower and I don’t even want to get started on the water pressure.. which is simply non existant here just as the Wifi which can only be found by the sink in the bathroom. What saves this place? The view from the room which is pretty decent in comparison to anything else, I guess this is because it is not owned by this hotel. Once you bear the sound of the squeakiest window in the world, you can look to your right to see the beautiful Alps (if you’re lucky with the weather) and a bit of the city to your left. We did not go to the bar nor to the restaurant but have indeed tried the breakfast, typical Italian with plenty of pastries and sweets to choose from, quite tasty, if you want savoury breakfast I’d suggest to go out elsewhere as there’s only a small selection of ham/cheese/ice cold, overcooked and most likely days old eggs and a piece of toast to go with it. When checking out, no one even bothered to ask about our stay, just a cold ‘you have to pay city tax’ and an ‘okay’ when asked to store luggage which we had to carry to the back office on our own. I’d only recommend this hotel if you want good location, as that’s what’s best about it. Located near the centre with plenty of shops/bars/cafes/restaurants nearby. …
We chose this on price and position as well as reviews. It was an ideal place to stay to visit Turin. Excellent staff, great room and lovely breakfast. Brilliant location to walk into the centre and visit the main sites.
Clean rooms and helpful staff. Very good breakfast. Location is very good as it is one step away from the Metro. Will certainly go there once again when I go to Torino. Also, you can book direct airport transport with the hotel.
Everything excellent. Nice staff, big and clean rooms and very good location, safe and beautiful area near the center. We arrived late in new year´s eve and no problems at all. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Turin
It's the type of old hotel, not the good kind of old. It has dated furniture, stained carpets in the hallways, non working AC, no alternatives for charging a laptop. Bathroom is small and shower is moldy, toilet was stuck so close to the shower glass that you have to sit tilted. Breakfast is messy and quite basic. Not continental, and missing the option of getting a fresh cappuccino, not the machine version. Staff have kinda given up. I had to negotiate for how many hours I would keep my luggage in storage. Price was below what I expected from a **** experience, so why not just reclass it as a ** experience?
Great room, super comfortable beds, super sound-proofed. Great size room. Also I needed to come back 1 day earlier than originally planned and staff were super efficient and organised very quickly without stress. Rooms and hotel super clean.
Excellent service, delisios brekfast, comfortable beds. The location is perfect, walking distance to town, close to the metro line and the bus stop. The staff were very polite and helpful. After a long day, all you need is a good shower but not to a few drops only coming out of the shower.
Service is average to good. We pre arranged a twin room which was confirmed only to find on arrival that it’s a double. Left for a few hours for them to sort out the room and again, upon return it was left halfway done. Have to complain and wait again for them to sort it out. After a long day, all you need is a good shower but not to a few drops only coming out of the shower. Again, have to wait for the next day as no one can do the job. In some hotels, we could have been offered a room transfer but no. It was sorted out by the just changing the shower head, the day after. Otherwise the hotel is centrally located, tourist spots and transportation are very near.
The location is perfect, walking distance to town, close to the metro line and the bus stop. The staff were very polite and helpful. The only downside was the wifi in the rooms. There was no coverage at all
