The Dock Milano is a clean, comfortable, well-managed hotel, right across the street from Porta Susa station. It is a pleasant walk from the Dock Milano into the centre of Turin, and buses go from the plaza outside to any part of the city and environs. We always use the Dock Milano when we stay in Turin.

Just across from the railway station and well connected to the rest of the city by an excellent tram and bus network. Don't worry about noise as all rooms are sound proof.
Meals are a bit of a problem, but as you are in Italy you are surrounded by good quality and reasonable price restaurants.

I've been many times in this hotel and I really appreciated its warm atmosphere and its nice, antique decoration. Very well positioned and served by public transports, Dock Milano is a special hotel, very well managed and full of nice people. I warmly recommend the Dock Milano Hotel to all those who are looking for a not expensive and fully satisfactory staying in this ancient, beatiful city named Torino.

My husband visits Turin at least twice a year for business. I often join him and this is my favorite hotel in all of Turin, - I've stayed at most. It's charming, the staff is wonderful, there's a nice breakfast, plus the Porta Nuova train station is diagonally across the street. You can take a train from the Turin airport that brings you straight to Porta Nuova train station. The only downside is it's lack of wireless access, but no Turin hotel seems to have wireless access in their rooms yet.
Like most all of Turin it's not a sleek, modern hotel like I'm used to (I usually stay at Hyatt's and Hiltons in the States) but it's old world look will really grow on you.

My wife and I were travelling as part of a tour-group and we were booked into the hotel by the tour company. It is close to the Porta Susa railway station and is in easy walking distance. It fronts onto the beautiful Via Cernaia and our initial impression of the hotel was good. However the first impression was a false one.

The lift is tiny, barely accommodating two people and luggage but as our room was on the third floor (actually the fourth as the first floor is the breakfast restaurant) we needed it. The room we were given, 311, was tiny and the en-suite bathroom a joke. The pan of the toilet was under the bowl of the sink and the bidet alongside meant using it needed the skills of a limbo dancer. A complaint to our tour-guide saw the room exchanged with 220, a family room with a bathroom not far short of the entire area of Room 311. This room was far from perfect, however much of an improvement it was over our original quarters. There was only one bedside lamp to one double and two single beds, no telephone and the air-conditioning unit made a lot of noise but did not cool the air. The pan of the toilet was loose and rocked from side to side when in use. The sound-proofing is in need of upgrading as we were woken by the first tram services the following morning. A comment made by all members of the party was that the shower cubicles were very small and washing was not easy due to the lack of space.

The breakfast was quite adequate and there was plenty of choice.

First the good things. It is very convenient for the Porta Susa Railway station just across the road. Handy for trains to Milan or Paris. It is cheap, and we found the reception staff very pleasant.
However, overall the hotel has a feeling of faded grandeur. Our room was very basic, and the shower had seen better days so we didn't bother with that. The free wi-fi struggled to reach us on the 3rd floor and frequently dropped out. All of this I can accept in a 'value' hotel. However, our one night stay was marred by something in the room that we think may have been sprayed. We were aware of the smell on arrival- chemical with a hint of ammonia, and thought it due to an over enthusiastic cleaner. But the smell persisted, and whatever it was got onto our hands and clothes, and made my lips tingle. We slept with the window wide open (looking out on a very busy street), but the smell never went away, so not a very comfortable night. We had an early train to catch in the morning so no time to take it up with the hotel. Fortunately breakfast was available before the advertised time of 07.00, but it was very average (coffee from a push button machine). Such a shame as this hotel could be so much better.

We arrived in this budget hotel after a long train journey from Cannes, France and was welcomed by nice, respectful, happy staff. The hotel is located under a serious of stone arches and columns reminiscent of the Michael Caines Italian Job film.

The room was nice and airy and the air conditioning worked a treat in the warm Piedmont heat. Only downside and it was only small, was that there was no english speaking TV channels i.e.) BBC CNN or free WI-FI.

Location is great, just of the train station (no or very little noise from the train station) and a nice leisurely 15 minute stroll to the City Centre.

We will both return to this great city and to this very good budget hotel

ps: we found the restaurants loacted around the hotel to better, more ambient and cheaper.

Stayed 4 nights in this hotel close to Porta Susa railway station. The staff were friendly, the hotel safe and clean, the breakfast buffet was good. The room was quite small and a little on the tired side but it had everything we needed including a fridge. Our balcony was a bonus. Easy walking into the major sites and right on top of a metro station for trips further afield.

We liked Hotel Dock Milano. It is well located, 1 minute to Porta Susa Station. The hotel is near to all Turin attraction, you can explore on foot. The breakfast is served with a great decent selection. It starts at 7 a.m. on weekdays, but starts at 7.30 a.m on weekend. If you have an early train or flight, so bear in mind.

The staff is good-humored and helpful.

The room is very big and very clean. We were two of us. There is adequate space for 2 big luggages, and still you can take steps easily in the room. And, it was very clean.

It is the best 3-star hotel I have ever stayed so far. I would stay there if I go to Turin.

If you arrive in Turin by train, get off train at Porta Susa Staion, when you get off the train, follow sign Piazza XVIII Dicembre, when you go out of the station, walk across the street, you will see Hotel Dock Milano in begining of Via Cernaia.
