This is a pretty basic Novotel (think Travelodge with slightly bigger rooms) and it’s on the outskirts of Turin. That may be a plus point if you have a car, which you want to leave somewhere and then take the tram into town. The tram route number 4 is very nearby, and takes 30 minutes or so to trundle into the centre of town.

To get tickets for the whole public transport system, it’s best to pop into a tobacconist/newsagent and buy a day (or longer) pass. The shops that sell the passes all have a sign on the door saying ‘GTT’. There is one that is reasonably close to the hotel. Cross the main road at the tram stop and then turn left, and continue on that side of the road in the direction of Turin centre for about 10 minutes. It’s quite small and is called La Stampa. If you have an Android phone there is an app you can use instead (GTT ToMove).

There’s also a large Ane very good Co-op supermarket that is about a 10 minute walk, should you need to stock up with snacks / wine etc.

Room 516 has plenty of space, and a fridge (which I liked). However, the furniture is very basic, the sofa is rather tatty and stained and the whole room was in need of some TLC. There was no plug in the sink, the air conditioning was very noisy and not that effective and there were only two electrical plug points. These were both above the desk, so you don’t need to scrabble around on the floor but you do have to unplug the kettle to use them. And there are no electrical sockets near the bed, which makes an overnight charge of a phone awkward.

The bathroom is functional but that’s all I can really say about it. Nothing was of particularly good quality, and there was only the most basic of amenities provided. Towels were, though, replaced frequently … although on our last morning we realised that housekeeping had only left us one towel for two people.

There was a fairly good selection of things for breakfast, which as you might expect is all self service with machines used to dispense coffee and orange juice. On our first couple of mornings, someone in the kitchen had made some rather good scrambled eggs. Sadly, on our subsequent two mornings, the scrambled eggs were made of powdered egg from a packet, and pretty inedible.

There’s a swimming pool, which we didn’t use but it looked wet (!), if a little small.

Stand-out great feature of the hotel was the staff. Everyone we spoke to was charming and the front desk staff were incredibly efficient, helpful, patient and kind. Thank you.

We liked the hotel, the rooms, bedsand the staff were pleasant. We liked the location on the outskirts, so easily accessible from the motorways. We bought all day or 2-day tickets and travelled into town and around the city by tram. Easier than driving and good value.
The breakfast would have been fine except that it takes far too long to serve and helpings range from enormous to minimal. What about a buffet to speed things up?

Hotel is located close to the Autobahn, and 5 minutes walk from the Tram Station(12 minutes walk from the Bus Station). Got a Room upgrade on request ( maybe cos Gold Status) with a wonderful view of the hills. Breakfast was satisfactory. Hotel Parking is covered (as a lovely gesture - Parking fee was waived) :))

We spent 1 night on the way back from Milan. What a contrast from the Ibis Styles in Milan!!!
Great location. The staff was helpful but not enough of them for such a huge hôtel. It urgently needs refurbishing as the carnets are tired, the towels too. The tissus dispenser had not been refilled in our room. The plastic bathtub and shower was damages and not so clean (we found hair...). The black-out certains are plastic and there were suspect stairs on the bedroom carpet. One feet of the chair was missing. Not what you'd expect from à 4 star... The bar is too small & badly located. The buffet dinner didn’t look appetizing. Let's not talk about the size of the swimming pool, which is tiny & where you cannot swimming as such. Hotel has Great potential though so needs to be redesigned.
I didn’t report the issues as the staff was already running around & to be honest, I didn’t have the time.
You can park your car for 5€/day within the hotel gates or you can park on the road, which is very quiet.

Firstly I’ve got to say for the price we paid for a package city break this hotel was a great all round hotel to stay in. We paid £100 pp from BA Holidays for two nights in an executive room including flights so I wasn’t expecting the hotel to be much to be fair but it was lovely.

We arrived on the Friday early afternoon and room 611 was ready for us our only complaints are non air conditioning in the hotel so we slept with the window open. No dressing gowns or slippers like the Novotel hotel website states. Plug didn’t fit the bath and when we arrived we checked the mini bar and prices. We put our own two bottles of water in the fridge for when we came back later we had a drink but no our waters had disappeared along with a rogue apple that was already in there. Luckily we had a kettle for coffee (even though Accor hotel states it should have a coffee machine)

Putting aside our moans the hotel is clean, furniture is clean, bed is firm with firm pillows I slept quite well both nights.

Breakfast is plentiful with loads of choice my favourite were the marmalade filled croissants they were delicious.

Staff are helpful and friendly.

We will be back and would be happy to stay again if the price is right

Thank you for a great stay

The hotel is a distance from central Turin but the tram station is up the road make sure you have cash to purchase a ticket from the tobacconists cost 3 euros 60 for 2x 100 minutes tickets just tap on and tap off when leaving. Taxis and Ubers work out expensive if using all the time.

We stayed here for only one night on a stop over to the Dolomites. Our room was clean, comfortable and a good size. The staff were pleasant, helpful and friendly. There is a free car park, also a secure car park and garage from which there is a lift into the hotel for only €8 a night, well worth it. There is a nice bar and restaurant for a drink and dinner and a good selection of items for breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel for a night or two in Turin, I would stay here again.

Our error was that we didn't realize the hotel is located on the outskirts of the city in an industrial come underdeveloped area. Bleak surroundings. About 25 minutes by car to get into the city centre, we were told one could also do it via public transport. We didn't try that option as it didn't feel safe. To the hotel's credit, all staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel, though of modern design seemed neglected. Entering our room on the seventh floor, we found a broken easy chair which we had replaced. The safe in the room was not working and was not repaired for the duration of our stay (3 nights), however we were allowed to keep our valuables in a safe at the front desk. There was only one electrical outlet in the room so we were provided with an extension cord so we could use the outlet for CPAP machine.

I was really disappointed with this hotel and regret that I stayed here. First, the location is not central and the property is far from downtown. Second, rooms are very basic and lack amenities. There is not even outlets by the side of the bed to charge a cellphone. The bathroom was dirty in my room and the shower head was broken. Housekeeping did not service the room. Third, I had many issues with the room key. The hotel claims it “demagnetised” but my guest and I were independently holding keys and they stopped working so I think it is more likely they were made wrong. I stay in hotels 150+ nights a year so I know how to store a room key. Fourth, I had a long travel day to reach the hotel. It was outrageously hot on arrival. After waiting 10 minutes to check in I asked for water. The hotel had no water at the front desk and I was told to buy a bottle at the bar. The bar of course was unattended so I had to queue up yet again at the bar. At check out, the employee was very rude and abrupt. There are so many problems with this hotel; please do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else. I generally like Novotels but to be frank I believe this is a rogue property that is not complying with Novotel brand standards. I really regret staying here.

This is a very very cold hotel, literally. I checked into the hotel on 21 Jan afternoon and I could not believed how cold my room was. When asked the receptionist told us the hotel was saving electricity as mandated by the Italian government. That obviously is not true. The hotel just wants to save their own electrical bill. The climate control in the room was only turned on after 5pm. Unless you enjoy the cold, will advise guests not to return to a cold cold room before 5pm.

The hotel needs a complete renovation of rooms, air conditioning, bathrooms. Everything is quite old and worn out, even the breakfast at Novotel is too modest, I don’t know if I’ve ever eaten worse scrambled eggs in a restaurant without air conditioning and in a crowd with too little space. I paid 200 EUR in the Eurovision week for the room and I was quite disappointed. Novotel usually offers much better standard than this one. Sorry, guys :(
