The trip to Europe was to celebrate me and my wife’s 20th wedding anniversary. We came to Torino from Rome. We visited Torino to attend a piano recital by Yunchan Lim who is the winner of the 2022 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, which was held in Sala 500 in the Lingotto mall. The Lingotto area has 3 hotels in AC Hotel Torino a Marriott Hotel, DoubleTree by Hilton Torino Lingotto and NH Hotel Torino Lingotto Congress. DoubleTree by Hilton Torino Lingotto and NH Hotel Torino Lingotto Congress are inside the Lingotto mall. AC Hotel Torino was a 5 minute walk to the Lingotto mall. I had no hesitation in choosing AC Hotel Torino as it was part of Marriott Hotel Group as I am a big fan of the hotels within the Marriott Hotel Group. I sincerely appreciate Federico Leone, Daniela Russo, Erika Magurno, Igor Vitale and Christian for answering the questions to all my inquiries about the hotel by email before I arrived. We arrived at Torino Porta Nuova station by high speed rail from Rome. From the Porta Nuova station we took a taxi to the hotel and it cost about EURO 10 to arrive at the hotel. Erika Magurno pleasantly welcomed me at the check in counter of the hotel and handled my check in very professionally. I also managed to say hi to Federico Leone who told me the direction to my room. When I entered the room I was delighted to see that my room had been upgraded. I was also flattered by the complimentary amenities in a bottle of champagne, sweets and flower that was provided for our 20th wedding anniversary. I appreciate, Federico Fusaro, Federico Leone, Daniela Russo, Erika Magurno, Igor Vitale and Christian for making this possible. The room was very spacious. The temperature in the room was warm to keep us warm as the weather outside was cold. I also really liked the radiator heater in the shower area. This is because I can simply wash my own clothes and put it on the radiator heater to dry. The clothes dried really quickly. There was also an Iron for us to Iron our clothes. I liked the fact that the room also had many shelves to put our bags and clothes. The bed was comfortable and it seemed to be heated as well to keep us warm when we sleep. We had a good view from our room, which was on the 3rd floor. Room service was quick. The only discomfort was that there was only one slipper in the room. So I had to go to the reception to ask for one. Several points for consideration for the room is that it would be better if you put more towels in the room. Other hotels we stayed in Europe provided many towels in the room. It's not that the towels in the room were insufficient as they were sufficient. But for some reason the trend of the hotels we stayed in Europe is that they provide many towels in the room. There was a whirlpool in the toilet but there no instructions on how to use it so we didn’t use it. The television in the bedroom only provided Italian channels so I hope in future there are English channels as well. The other television in the living room wasn’t working. We enjoyed the breakfast at the AC Hotel Torino. Breakfast at the AC Hotel Torino offers its guests a wide range of delicious breads. They also have scrambled egg, bacon and mozzarella cheese served at breakfast. Two types of cakes are also provided. The highlight of the breakfast was the fruit cup. Variety of fruit are cut and put conveniently into a glass cup for guest to consume. Of course the coffee at breakfast tasted amazing. Erika kindly told us that at the subway station we can buy a 3 day pass and use it for 3 days for both the subway, bus and trams. The hotel is close to the Spezia station. Spezia station is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Its only 5 stations to Porta Nuova station, which is the city center. Distance between each subway station is quite short. I would say it was actually quite convenient to go to the city center by subway from the hotel. There are many places to eat at the Lingotto mall, which is 5 minutes from the hotel. There is also Eataly Torino Lingotto next to the Lingotto mall, which is a place you can eat and also buy groceries. You can also buy groceries in Carrefour Market, which is also close to the hotel. There are many choices near the hotel. Also, MAUTO – Automobile Museum is 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. There is a gym in the hotel but we didn’t have time to use it. The hotel is known to host many conferences as there are many conference rooms in the hotel. Guests who stay in the hotel during my stay were mainly those who attend conferences in the hotel. However, I could see that there were a few other guests who were there for leisure like me. One more point for improvement is the turn around time for responding to email inquiries may need to be quicker. Sometimes after I send an email to ask about something it takes more than 1 day to get a reply. Therefore, sometimes on the second day if I don’t get a reply to my email I call the hotel to follow up. Only then I receive a reply to my email. Daniela Russo professionally handled my check out. She called the taxi for me to take to the Torino airport for me to travel to my next destination in Europe.…
I went with my girlfriend for 2 days to this amazing city in Italy and we stayed in this excellent hotel. The installations are just perfect, the room is super clean & comfortable and it has everything you need to have a pleasant stay. The location is ideal as you have the subway just a few blocks walking. The hotel’s staff service is just extraordinary, they helped me out with everything we needed! Grazzie per tutto, we will definitely come back!
The hotel is a bit far from town if you don’t want to take the metro (15 euros to the center by taxi in average), but the surrounding area has all you may need to accommodate you: shops, market, commercial center and the famous Eataly that’s worth a visit. The Italian staff was great, ready to serve you and they’ve always been very nice. Breakfast as in all AC hotels is very good, and the room was very large, so I can only compare it to the one I have seen in Cape Town. In Spain (origin of the brand) it’s usually smaller. I appreciated the little desk also. I would like here to encourage the staff to be honoured and bear proudly the reputation of their hotel worldwide😉. Probably here my past experience with AC hotels makes the difference: I did not earn the extra nights, no welcome gifts either in AC hotels, but Lingotto has its charms and my only regret was that it wasn’t more ☀️ sunny during my visit end December. A minus, maybe, as there always will be some : room insonorisation is not good. A plus: the diligence of the reception staff helping with luggage and saying goodbye. One of our preferred stays during holiday (Milano Rome and Torino) was Turin (Torino): a great city.…
Clean comfortable well decorated room. Location not so great but they have parking and you are very close to Eataly! Walls are paper thin, although the hotel was not super busy with guests we did know that there were guests in the rooms on either side of us. For a quick stay for a night or two you will be comfortable here, longer term if you have a car and can get out and explore Torino would be ok but this isn’t an area of Torino that you would find a lot to do. Very local area with little to no restaurants nearby, We stayed one night and had a pleasant stay.
They don't have the AC system working and it's terrible. Extremely suffocating room. Am here for critical business meetings but couldn't sleep for a min. There is no solution which they have except to apologize.
On the first day I contacted by e-mail the customer service (Marriott.Mobile.Customer.Care@marriott.com) to indicate the problems I had : - the safe did’nt work : they replaced it - the toilet flush flowed without interruption - the TV did’nt work : message « no signal » on the screen - only one bath towel - only 3 or 4 tissues in the bathroom - one small soap - nothing to write (no pen nor paper) - the room keys did’nt work (on the second day) I received an answer message indicating : a case number has been created : 398331173 : One of our team members will review your inquiry and respond to you as soon as possible with a personal reply : Travel Brilliantly ! The only answer I received was not personal but a standard text (certainly made by a robot) saying : the details you provided were shared with the executive team at the hotel .They will take action and respond to you within three to five business days to resolve this issue. But why wait 3 to 5 days as I was present in the hotel ??? I never got any answer and NO word when I paid the bill .. I tried to contact the general manager (Frederico Fusaro) : No answer !!!! I am not accustomed to such type of attitude and think seriously to erase Marriott from my future trips.…
I was so happy with this hotel for so many reasons. First of all, it's a beautiful hotel in a historic former pasta factory. The main lobby is beautiful with stylish furniture and a wonderful staff that would do ANYTHING for its guests. We were traveling with a friend who forgot her passport in the hotel safe and the hotel offered to drive the passport to the airport at 5 a.m. and saved the day! Who does this? I've never seen a hotel so willing to help its guest. It was AMAZING. I would never stay anywhere else in Torino but here. Three minutes to the metro and well located but it's a hotel you'd like to call home.
Very nice hotel which is located in an old pasta factory on the outskirts of the center of Torino. Nice contemporary look throughout. The hotel appears pretty new. Everything in the room was in good working order. Our standard room was quite large and comfortable. Hotel has its own parking garage, which was helpful as we had a car. The location is somewhat on the outskirts of the center of Torino, but easily reachable by car. Took us 10-12 minutes to drive and park in the center of town for dinner on the Sunday night that we were there. Found the hotel very reasonably priced given the quality of the facilities / room / & service.
Was here for the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest and what a find of a Hotel. There is a massive shopping complex just behind and you can find anything you may need. The Hotel was very popular during my stay as there were many delegates for the event staying here. The Front office Staff were very helpful to me as they assisted with IT computer Programmed issues I couldn't figure out. My Housekeeping ladies were magic and I salute them. Breakfast was a popular event with the guests. I loved my room and the service - thank you
We stayed here for 7 nights in April. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. As an Ambassador Level they made sure i had a bottle of Prosecco in my room and gave me the view of the mountains. The breakfast was also very good. Plenty of choices - from cold to hot options. It was also located close to places to eat and a “mall” with a healthy grocery store. My only complaint was that the AC wasn’t turned on so it was very warm for us. We slept with the window open which caused us to hear some noise. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and we looked forward to staying again at our next visit to Turin. Hopefully the AC will be working.
