Enjoy your stay in Turin!
We stayed there as a family-had two rooms next to each other. Urbani is a well situated hotel close to the central station, but in a quet street. Good size bedrooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds, and helpful staff. We will be back!
Great location. High standard throughout, bedroom very comfortable and good range of hot and cold food for breakfast. Nice lobby and outdoor area. Convenient to airport transfer and train . Would recommend as a comfortable and very safe location
I think this was our fifth stay with Hotel Urbani. We love the proximity to the train station and the city life of Turin. The rooms are great as is the breakfast buffet. I recommend this hotel. It is about 5 minutes to the train station.
Beware of this place, I booked this place for the wrong weekend, I realised and within minutes of booking it had sent a request to change dates or get my money back, didn't receive a response until the next day and was then was told there was nothing they could do. So they just kept my money, clear display of lack of integrity with no regard for customers, very unfair and also the fact they are greedy and don't want to give refunds. I booked somewhere else around the corner on air bnb for a cheaper price and had a great time.
Overall a good experience. Cons: I really don't like these small Italian bathroom cubicles, and this hotel had particularly small ones. Finding a parking space nearby - mission impossible. The hotel has a parking right in front of the hotel, costs €16 per day, or in a garage nearby, costs €22 per day. Availability is known only upon arrival and it is not possible to book in advance. The hotel has a patio, but alas, no chairs or tables (maybe due to the season I was at, end of September). My room had an electric kettle, but alas, only instant coffee, no tea. Coffee machine in the breakfast room makes a terrible cappuccino. Air conditioner in the room didn't work (I was told that it doesn't work in the whole hotel because of the season, so during the day it became very warm). Pros: Very nice staff. My room had a small balcony. Proximity to main attractions. 2-3 minutes walking from the main train station. Nice breakfast. Very clean. The room had an electric kettle and a mini-bar (yes, I already stayed at hotels that didn't have it, so I can appreciate it). Overall it was a nice stay and the hotel answered my expectations.…
This is a pretty good older hotel not far from the main train station. Rooms clean, nice staff. Street and paying parking. Drop the car in front and they'll go park it or keep it in front. A couple of good local restaurants next and around the hotel. Just as an info, we had to wait a while for an Uber/cab. The driver told me only 2 taxis respond to the Uber app in all Torino. They are all Taxi cabs. I could not hail a Uber in all Northern Italy as a matter of fact.
The worst. We were not there because, as we explained to you within 1/2 hour of the reservation, your default software filled in the dates and we booked in error. Terrible customer service!!! You would not let us correct the error. Ted Rand Tedr0831@aol.com
This hotel was part of a short break deal with friends and it lived up to expectations. The rooms were large enough, though not spacious and generally well equipped and clean. The exception maybe the lack of a real drinking vessel in the room. The plastic cups were flimsy and not the easiest to handle. My room was at the back so not too noisy, though others in the party suffered with the din. Breakfast was very good and varied and the bar, though not well stocked was very competitively priced.
We recently booked at the Hotel Urbani, Turin, Italy. Since the Tripadvisor software automatically enters a default date, we did not notice to correct the date when we booked a noncancelable reservation. Tripadvisor automatically handed us off to Tingo.com for the booking. Within one half hour (immediately after we received the email confirmation) we notified Tingo.com of the error. Two days later, we got an email from from Tingo.com saying that they would contact the hotel and tell them the correct date. Today, two days later ,we received an email from ian.com saying that the reservation would not be cancelled, and the Hotel Urbani will charge us the full amount. We, of course, are traveling and cannot be there on the date booked. Tripadvisor will not accept calls to handle customer service problems. Tingo.com says there is nothing they can do. Our recommendation: !. Do not use Tripadvisor to book reservations!! 2.Do not use Tingo.com to book reservations!! 3.Do not stay at the Hotel Urbani in Turin, Italy!!…
I recently stayed at the Urbani for 2 nights as a solo traveler. I chose the hotel to its proximity to the train station, Porta Nuova. It is a quick 5 minute walk. The street is quite quiet and there are a couple of nice restaurants next to, across and right around the corner from this hotel. I had lunch right next door at the trattoria and the food was very good. I had an adequately furnished double room facing the back and it was quite satisfactory. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom is updated and fine. The breakfast was a definite plus, above average, featuring various fruit, yogurt, cereals, nice pastries and even hard boiled eggs. Staff here were nice and friendly. Basically speaking, this is a very nice 3 star hotel. For the price I think the hotel is great value and I would stay here again.…
