So goes hotel ..... !

The Imperialart is a small hotel in Merano, 12 individually furnished rooms and what is an important argument .... it doesn't get more central now. Out of the hotel and you are in the middle of Merano.

The ladies of the hotel - Stefanie and Andrea - have already set the quality standard very high for Direct Booking. On the one hand, both the request and the Booking Referral were answered in a very quick and above all in a very friendly manner. Even then you could look forward to the holiday.

The access is easy, you can drive through the pedestrian zone directly to the hotel and then, if desired, park the car in the garage a few meters away.

The rooms are individually furnished and equipped – We chose the «Aluminium» room when Booking Referral, it was promised to us and we received it. The room is furnished in a very elegant, aluminum style, the closet I would have preferred to take with me. The bed is big enough, the mattresses very comfortable and the room leads directly to a small balcony from which you can look towards the chairlift that leads up to the village of Tyrol.... cozy. In addition to this exit, the room has an additional window – more than pleasant in summer.

The air conditioner does what it needs to do and deserves its name – we were there during a time when temperatures during the day ranged from 33-35 degrees. And have also slept very well thanks to the quiet air conditioning.

The bathroom impressed us – on the one hand it was very good in terms of size and equipment, provided with a bathtub and a large shower and enough storage space all around. In addition, the bathroom has a separate window.

Breakfast is served in the restaurant which is part of the hotel. Although the space is relatively small, in these summer days you can use the associated outdoor terrace on the Liberty Road – you are already in the middle of the Merano experience. The selection was good for our demands, we would like to emphasize the Cappuciono.....fantastico.

I don’t have to say anything more to the ladies of the hotel – that’s already in the title – “that’s how hotel goes”. And when they go out to dinner, they trust their tips and clues.

At the moment the outhouse is being rebuilt ..... that you can sometimes hear the unavoidable construction work I don't want to conceal ..... but on the one hand the windows dampen the noise strongly, on the other hand this construction site also doesn't last forever. This should not be deterred from a stay.

Yes, I could have made it shorter.... Okay, I'll do it.

“Booking and driving – you do absolutely nothing wrong”

ImperialArt Merano exceeded all our expectations. From the first contact to check out, the staff was fantastic. Personal and professional, every need was anticipated and managed perfectly. The rooms are beautiful and everything if clean and functioning. The location is perfect for all Merano activities.

We are looking forward to our next visit.

Hotel in the center of Merano with attention to the smallest details. the room where we stayed was equipped with a hydromassage tub on the terrace, a large bathroom with shower and tub, a comfortable bed and a mini sitting room with kettle, coffee machine and minibar. We stayed with our dog who was welcomed very kindly by the staff, and in the room for her we found two bowls and a blanket. Excellent welcome from the girls at reception.

I stayed at the Imperial for the fourth time and this alone can make you understand how much I love this hotel and its discreet and welcoming atmosphere. This life I chose the Oleander room, on the third floor, very large, with a huge free standing tub that allows you to enjoy the bath even while watching TV. The room is very relaxing and has a balcony overlooking the course and the mountains in which to enjoy a drink or breakfast. As always, very kind and helpful staff. I can't wait to return in June and try a new room.

This property is located a stone's throw from the Merano spa and close to the city's main attractions. We were welcomed by the very kind receptionist, cheerful and precise in providing us with all the information. We stayed in a suite with a balcony, large bathroom equipped with everything necessary for personal care, underfloor heating. Spotless room! We also had two bags with a bathrobe and towels available for going to the spa!
(if you book directly at the facility and not through intermediaries, you have a discount on the Merano spa!!)
Fantastic bed and pillows.
Including coffee pods and fresh water were available.
The hotel has no parking (being located in the historic centre) but it was possible to leave the car overnight in the car parks near the spa and benefit from a special price as guests of the Imperialart (€19 all day, to be conveniently welded into the structure).
Highly recommended!

Splendid hotel centrally located and close to all the attractions of Merano.
The staff is very kind and always ready to meet the customer's needs.
The room is large and bright.
The idea of personalizing your stay thanks to the wish list with completely honest prices and the welcome emails sent after booking is very nice.
The price of the room includes entry to the Merano spa for the whole day and the hotel provides a bag, bathrobe and towel, another additional plus for not having to bring them from home. Breakfast is taken in the adjacent bar with a basic but quality buffet. Absolutely recommended!

Mixed impressions here. There are very good points in favor of this hotel. Its location is just perfect, in the old town close to everything. Although the building is ancient the rooms have been interestingly refurbished and are very modern, quiet and nice. Bedding is excellent.
Among the less attractive aspects, the entrance hall looks more like the one of a place renting rooms by the hour than that of a 4 stars hotel, there is absolutely no common areas, breakfast is in the adjacent bar and neither practical nor at the expected level of quality and comfort. There is an interesting deal with the thermal baths but note that it only applies if you book directly with the hotel and not through a third party, Front desk staff is nice and efficient. Altogether this is quite a nice place and we enjoyed our stay, but it's a bit flashy, overrated and certainly overpriced for what it offers.

We thank you for the time you dedicated us with this review. First of all, we are glad you enjoyed our strategical position in the center of Merano and our fancy rooms. However it's a pitty that we were not able to convice you completely of our unique boutiquehotel. What you stated in your review above is very much true: we do not have any common areas nor a big reception - but this is what we communicate on every channel! Our reception is small but very efficient - open 7 days a week, 365 days a year from 8.00 am to 9.00 pm - which are long opening hours if you think about how we only have 12 rooms :-) Our staff is always smiling (even under their face masks) and willing to fulfill any wishes, give the best recommandation in town and overall just make sure you feel good and enjoy your holiday. Our adjacent bar is part of the hotel and at the same time welcoming external guests as well - we wanted to give our guests the possibility to experience the "real" Merano feeling, among all the locals, enjoying their coffee in the morning and aperitivo in the evening. We would love to get a second chance to convince you completely of our concept and boutiquehotel - as you already stated above by booking directly with us the entrance to the thermal baths is included daily! Really hoping to welcoming you again we are sending best regards, Stefanie, Marion & Yvonne

Boutique hotel in the center of Merano, exceptional location. Very nice suites. Hotel actually housed in a condominium which does not allow for a hall worthy of a 4 star. Rather sacrificed but managed by two very good and very kind girls.
But let's get to the weak points:
Breakfast is served in the adjacent bar with internal passage and breakfast is basic but there is everything you need but... being a bar open to the public it can happen that the micro area reserved for hotel guests is occupied (three tables with a number of suites of at least 10/12)
Another issue is the presence of dogs, I understand that the hotel can accept them but I don't think it is correct to allow them to be present even when the "breakfast area" is really restricted. Even though it now seems that no one takes it into account in all of Italy, there are people who are allergic or who simply don't like having breakfast with medium-large dogs nearby.

Price performance does not fit here at all!
Major construction site right next door. It starts at 7h. You don't need an alarm clock and the earplugs don't help. The roof terrace with Jacuzzi we did not use because of the noise. Breakfast is very spartan for a 4 star hotel. We can not recommend it!

We had a great time in this wonderful little hotel, centrally located and very close to the spa. Bright and modern rooms, equipped with air conditioning and a nice bathroom with large shower and bidet. Excellent breakfast in the adjacent bar. We really enjoyed the free daily entrance to the spa and the kit provided with towels and and bathrobe. Welcome drink at another property where we had an equally good time on another occasion in Merano. Friendly and efficient staff. Highly recommended!!!
