Detailed Reviews
The hotel itself is in tip top shape, perfect rooms, amazing pool and garden. Breakfast is top. For lunch and diner a small menu is available in the bar that also caters the pool and garden (live like a king in Merano ;-) ). The hotel staff is incredible and the host is very accommodating. The location is perfect, quite enough to enjoy some rest (with drinks!) in pool and garden. But just a stroll along the beautiful river away from the “thermen”, the city center and a lot of nice restaurants. Your host knows most of them, very well, so ask for recommendations and reservations and the restaurants in question treat you very well. We have enjoyed every single suggestion the host made! Want to go for a hike in the mountains? Also no problem. All information is available and it’s easy to get to the specific gondolas or starting points (we used our car, but public transportation is also available near by). In short , the perfect relaxing hiking/reading/eating/shopping experience! The host, staff and accommodation take away all the stress you might have. (We will be back)

There is an understated elegance in this family-owned property rare to find elsewhere these days, and this is precisely why I enjoyed every minute of my stay. It is perfect for a relaxing holiday: everything is spotlessly clean and in good order. The added benefits are the location (just overlooking river Passiria, at walking distance from everything in Merano) and the small private park, with perfectly manicured lawns and a decently sized pool.
Service is courteous and attentive, with special mention to Daniele, always available and willing to be helpful.
The hotel is not cheap in absolute terms, but is correctly priced if you take into account that Merano is a classy and sought-after destination.
I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Highly recommended hotel!!!! Warm welcome, family environment; friendly, professional staff ready for every need! Top cleanliness, breakfast full of delicious desserts!!!!! The location on the Passirio promenade is excellent, allowing you to reach the center in just a few minutes, comfortably on foot. Also very close to the station and bus stop! Really satisfied!!!!

We stayed for three nights in this hotel and it was a pleasant stay. The hotel is small, which was a reason for us to choose this property. In the corona times we preferred small hotels with a few guests. The breakfast was served in the terrace or inside, and had everything you need to start a day. The room was small, but sufficient, the bathroom was evidently new and modern. Very nice hosts. The location just five minutes walk from the city centre. Would stay here again.

We were absolutely delighted with our short 5-night stay at the Hotel Windsor. The Widmann family and the staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. The breakfast covers the basic needs to the fullest satisfaction. If something is missing, it is brought back immediately. The rooms are spotlessly clean and technically excellently equipped. In general, the hotel is in a very well-kept condition. In terms of cuisine, we always relied on the hotel's recommendations and were always very satisfied. The location of the hotel is perfect. You can reach the center or the thermal baths in a few minutes' walk along the Passer. The guest card allows you to leave the car at home, as the bus and train are not far away. All in all, an absolute recommendation for a stay in Merano. We will definitely come back!

We booked this last minute as our other accomodation fell through and it was the highlight of our 2 weeks in Italy. Great location on the river and close to restaurants etc. Our room had a balcony overlooking the river and pool which was fantastic. Pool was big enough to swim in but it was the jacuzzi that we really liked with jets that were adjustable. Family run and friendly ( complete with a gorgeous dog) and a good buffet breakfast.

We were guests about a week ago and anticipate immediately that we extended the stay. Small, welcoming hotel that combines tradition, design. Sometimes a sentence is enough to win over a guest like on arrival: “can we buy you a coffee?”. Never happened and yet for work and / or vacation we turn.... Attention to cleanliness and detail, we also had our tender furry; our room was actually a mini suite with a large living area well furnished and equipped. Great breakfast and buffet always perfect, great desserts; very good espresso coffee very kind staff. Beautiful swimming pool. The hotel is located at the corner of the promenade about 500 meters from the city center.
I therefore take this opportunity to thank all the staff for their cordial hospitality, professionalism. We'll be back!

A perfectly located low-key high quality hotel with a dedication to detail and service.
Pool is excellent, secluded from the busyness of Merano, with stunning views and the sounds of the nearby river.
Service is friendly and authentic with special care offered by the family run business. A special shout out to Daniel for his kind enthusiasm.
Simply the best.

Nice property in good location. With a pleasant walk you can easily reach the center.
Spacious room equipped with minibar. The bottle of water that is left for customers every day is nice. Large and functional bathroom.
Excellent cleaning.
Very kind and helpful staff.
The paid garage is very convenient.
In summer there is a small swimming pool and a hydromassage outside.
Average high price.
It's a shame there isn't a wellness area for relaxing after a nice walk.
The structure has an agreement with the
Spa.
Highly recommended.

Very friendly staff - even if we were not able to go to dinner they were able to offer us a dinner in the breakfast room.
Tommy’s are very clean. Breakfast was great with coffee/tea served on the table.
Pool very well maintained - location nearby Meran Center.
