Detailed Reviews
We stayed for 6 nights and had a nice room on third floor with a great balcony and amazing view. It is a laid back, family run business who look after you with a sense of personal care. You can have breakfast, lunch and dinner on the terrace and drinks in the bar or the lounge area, nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was a bit monotonous after 6 days, we would have liked a bit more variety, but this is only a small thing. The pool area is lovely and we spent time sunbathing and swimming or just relaxing in the gardens. It is a 10 minute walk into Meran or you can take their bikes to get around. We would highly recommend.

+1
We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Pollinger and could not recommend it more! We picked Merano because we both love nature & walking and there are literally hundreds of beautiful nearby trails to choose from. The guys at reception were so lovely & helpful and recommended some fantastic options including treks from Lana and Saltaus. After a long walk in the heat, a dip in the pool was a welcome relief and we never struggled to find a comfortable sunbed. We didn’t use the indoor pool or sauna but it looked beautiful and spotlessly clean like the rest of the hotel. Fresh towels were available every day free of charge. We had a room overlooking the pool with a great view and a balcony that caught the evening sun. In terms of food, the breakfast selection was incredible with a fresh orange juice machine and gorgeous cappuccinos! We ate dinner in the hotel five out of the six nights and I could not get over how amazing the food was! As a vegetarian I often struggle to find anything other than pizza & pasta in Italy but this was not the case in Hotel Pollinger! The food was incredible and every night the chefs produced a new delectable masterpiece so a huge thank you to all of you! I am so grateful :) It’s a 5 course menu every night, finishing with a gorgeous dessert and cheese selection so bring your stretchy pants! Finally, I could not finish this review without a special thank you to Marilyna (please excuse my spelling!) who is a absolute superstar and helped us and befriended us from Day 1. Vielen dank Marilyna and to all in Hotel Pollinger for a fantastic break and best of luck to you all!

Wonderful stay with wonderful staff. We went for one night and stayed two as it was so relaxing by the pool. The food was great ( especially the pasta!) and we really enjoyed breakfast on the terrace. Recommend a stop if you are in merano and want to decompress.

I stayed 3 days in Merano and it was very nice short vacation. The Hotel is clean, staff is friendly and willing to help. Rooms are comfortable with big bathroom and there are more than enough towels. Breakfast is fine with several different meals. Hotel is near the center of city and City pool.
Price is good.

I met friends from Germany here and knew nothing about the area, which is really delightful incredible alpine walks and nice village - this place is a little out from village but is a gem. It has fantastic indoor and outdoor pool, fab sauna and steam room - they are very friendly and helpful and it is more like a boutique hotel than a generic big hotel, the breakfast is good but the stand out is the set evening meal at 23 euros - it was such an adventure having all the different courses of local produce and everything so perfectly cooked and presented - I don’t know how they do it so well - the rooms are clean and modern and it’s so relaxed and quiet around the area it is a great base for checking out this fascinating area - you would go back without hesitation - I would highly recommend

This is a perfect place for a get away. Hike, walk, swim, take day trips, and more. The owners and staff will care for you in every way. We thoroughly enjoyed two long hikes on routes recommended by one of the owners. The views were spectacular. And the meals are superb. Stay for dinner!

Well priced, very friendly, great hotel in this lovely town. Rooms were clean and tidy. All had a balcony and free wifi. Miss the use of a kettle to make a tea but test is pretty commonplace in Europe.
We took the 3/4 board option. Great value. Staff spoke many languages.

Nice classy hotel, a little outside of this lovely town. God views from upper front rooms down the valley. Good breakfast, very good food in general. Nice staff and service. Nice indoor pool, nice outdoor pool in a smallish garden surrounded by apartment buildings. The clients seem to be almost entierly Swiss or Germans, visiting Italy but preferring to speak their language!

Spent the New Year holiday there and we've been spoiled with top quality services. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and nice, well heated. In all our group everybody was more than happy with the room temperature, but my room was a bit colder - signaled at reception and fixed instantly. Parking places available in the basement, which is quite important during winter. The food was excellent - great cuisine (I believe the chef is one of the brothers that run the hotel). We had half-board accommodation and must say that both breakfast and (even more) dinner were delicious. Large assortment of "speck" specialties, cold buffet and for dinner sophisticated and very tasty dishes.
The town is very nice, the hotel is into walking distance from the town centre and Thermal Bath. Btw, the pool at the hotel was excellent - the kids really enjoyed that. Nobody in our group was interested to get to the Terme (very busy for that period)!
In ten minutes by car we got to the cabin lift to Meran 2000. The slopes were fine and for all level of skiers.
For all our group, probably the best holiday we've ever had.

Hotel was clean and quiet.
The rooms were clean and the breakfast was buffet style with a good choice.
The staff was very friendly and at your service.
The hotel wellness area was equipped with pool, gym and sauna but needs a facelift as it is starting to show its age.
A bit out of the way as it takes about 15 mins walking to the city center.
Overall a good hotel. Maybe just a bit pricey for what you get.
