We really enjoyed our two-night stay at Hotel Aster. For us, the hotel is perfectly located, a 15 minute walk into town with free parking at the site. Very attentive and friendly staff. We had a spacious room facing the pool/valley, nice sight to wake up to. The pool is not very big but clean and refreshing. Breakfast was good. The nearby restaurant Kirchsteiger is also recommendable.

I stayed there 3 night with my bf, it was simply perfect. the owners are very nice, the rooms are big and clean, the bed is very confortable. the hotel is 1 km by feet from the centre town, or, if you don't want to walk there is the stop of bus line n. 4 few meters from the hotel. this line will bring you to the centre of the town in 5 minutes. i stayed there in december so i really dunno how the swimming pool is, but there is one for sure for hotter seasons. in the area there are also good restaurants. the area is very quiet so you'll have good nights.
in front of the hotel there is also a parking place for the clients. i had nothing to complain about. if i have to complain about something i would only say that the wi-fi for the pc is just in the hotel hall and not the rooms, but this is really if i want to find something to complain about. the hotel is just perfect, i'll surely stay there again in the future.

This is a gem of a little hotel. Small but welcoming. The food was excellent. We had wanted to stay at the Meranherhof but had been unable to get the single rooms we wanted. The single rooms here have a balcony - unfortunately, they also face the main road so there is some traffic noise but not intolerable.

The breakfasts were a good typical mix of continental breakfast but you could eat on the terrace if you wished to do so.

Evening meals there was a good salad buffet and a choice of two first courses and two second courses.

We would certainly return to this hotel if we wished to return to the area for another visit.

Hotel is about 15 mins walk to the town centre but is on one of the local bus routes - provided you can get your head round the way their tickets work!

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Garni Aster. The staff here is the nicest we've encountered in northern Italy. They are attentive, friendly and very helpful. Our stay was fantastic. The grounds include an outdoor pool which we loved. There is also a whirlpool near the outdoor pool as well as one in the spa area. It was so easy to be relaxed here because the atmosphere is so calm and peaceful. Our room was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The center of town is about a 15 to 20 minute walk - here you will find several restaurants and a river walk that is absolutely lovely. The town of Merano is beautiful - there is much to see and do, especially if you enjoy the outdoors. We also recommend the thermal baths in town. We can't wait to return!

The hotel is located up the hill in between villas and private residences. The back room are facing the pool and have mountain view. The rooms to the street are noisy as cars, busses and motorcycles are passing by all night and day.
The rooms are in good shape and provide balconys. Breakfast is served in a breakfast room and next to the pool. The morning buffet has all you need for a good start into the day.
Reception staff is very friendly and helpful when asking for information.
One thing disturbed me every morning: The maid parks all her things right in front of the guest rooms (vacuumer, trash bins etc.). It's not only dangerous as you can easily fall, it also gives you the feeling that you have to leave the room as soon as possible ...

I would be happy to come back. Nice room with view. Staff very pleasant. Cool swimming pool and breakfast buffet. 15 minutes walking from the town centre with fantastic roads and lanes to see. Taxi from the city centre costs about 10. I went to take take away pizza and owner gave me plates and cutlery before I asked for it. Anticipate the guest: 5 stars

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is is situated about a 10 minute walk from the town centre and has easy access to both the SS38 and SS44 main roads. The room is clean and sizeable, owner and staff are friendly and excellent. Breakfast was in traditional European style but there was plenty of it and was always topped up promptly and was by the pool.
The town of Merano is beautiful and well kept and surrounded by mountains. Wish we could have stayed here longer.
