Beginning of September we stayed at this family owned hotel for 5 nights. My husband was attending a conference at the Palazzo Bo (University), so it was only a short walk from the hotel. We arrived by car (a little challenging to find, but friendly locals gave us directions). We parked our car at their garage, a couple of blocks... More

This hotel may be a little hard to find but it is an exceptional place. When you leave the hotel in the morning, be sure to remember the landmarks or have the adddress with you because I had the unfortunate experience of almost not being able to find it late in the day when I returned to the hotel. The... More

Our one night stop-over in Padua, enroute from Venice to Florence, turned out to be a surprising and happy experience; we wished we had planned at least one more day for this interesting town less over-run with tourists. The hotel is quite lovely and hidden down a twisty side street yet less than a block from the commercial heart of... More

This hotel is well appointed and excellently located in the historic centre of Padua. Our suite was comfortable and buffet breakfast very good by Italian standards. Hotel staff were helpful but not intrusive. However, the noise outside from the bar opposite in the evening was dreadful. Sometimes it went on until the early hours of the morning. This was not... Wonderful little hotel worth every penny. I believe it is a 4-star. Since Padova is a smaller city, you get a lot more for your money than a similar lodging in Rome. The staff was professional, courteous and helpful. Location couldn’t be beat, close to the markets and main commercial strip. (Try the little seafood cart in the Piazza della... More

If you are looking for location, location, location then this hotel cannot be beaten. Certainly not easy to find as it really is tucked away in the old city 'ghetto' - worth taking a taxi to the hotel. Very helpful Reception staff who went out of their way to assist especially with restaurant recommendations and table reservations (nearby Dal Capo... More

The hotel staff was helpful in recommending three nearby osterias, L'Anphora, Il Capo, and Osteria dei Fabbri (also in Rick Steve's book). The hotel breakfast was superb--the fresh baked pastries, hot chocolate and scrambled eggs were excellent as was the selection of fresh fruits. Our favorites were the mixture of red currants and small blackberries, the apple strudel, and the... More

This is a nice hotel in a really central location. I found the staff to be really friendly and the room (one bedder) was large and very comfortable. I notice some people have mentioned noise from the bar opposite and if you're sensitive to these things it could be a problem but you can shut the windows and the shutters... More

I was disappointed in our room Our room was really dreary. I was surprised, because I had read several upbeat reviews. There was construction going on in the courtyard behind our room, but we were not bothered by construction noise. The location is good. We had no trouble with street noise. We enjoyed one of the close by "student" restaurants.... More
