We've traveled the world and stayed from top class hotels as well hostels.
But what happened here in this hotel is unbelievable.
We were made responsible for damaging the air-conditioning of the entire hotel.
We haven't touched it and being blamed for doing something we...More
The location is amazing, the price even better. The breakfast is really good with bread, croissant, jams + butter and coffee/milk/coffee. It's also very clean and organised. Only problem was the staff. They made me feel as if I was asking them for favours or...More
Clean and practical. Lockers, towels provided, free breakfast. I don't know why everyones complaining about the breakfast. Cereal, yoghurt, coffee and croissants. Anything for free is good in this pricey city.

The only positive thing about this hotel is the friendly staff and hotel top view of the city. There is no air conditioning whatsoever. Our last night we had over 40 mosqitos in our room from having the window open for some kind of air...More

Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a
strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.

That is a tricky question, if you mean that you want to leave the room to go look around venice and want to leave your important documents or something small, then reception has a safe, but if you want to leave your luggage, then you can put it next to the door at the reception desk, until you finish whatever you gotta do in town, then come back for it as long as you get out of the room for next guests by a certain time.
It's not a big problem, at least for me.
The public bathrooms there are quite clean, I think the staff clean public area frequently.
And there are many bathrooms and toilets.
You won't need to worry about urgent situation.:))
