Recently stayed at the Palazzo Partua in one of their Apartments, which is just across the Campo Sant'Angelo. Beautiful big one bedroom apartment with a private terrace and a small kitchenette. Perfectly appointed and perfect for our family. We followed the direction they provide and got there with no difficulty. It did involve an approx 20 min ride on the... More

Great hotel, great location. Easy to get everywhere!! Very polite staff, we definitely had a great time. Pretty rooms for an amazing price. Close to water bus stations, in the middle of everything. For one side Rialto bridge, to the other side piazza San Marco. Definitely recommend!!

I can't say enough about this hotel. We booked the junior suite and it was a breathtaking room. We had more space than we knew what to do with and we felt like luxury. The staff were always very friendly and provided us with spectacular service. They offer a full free breakfast with made to order espresso drinks. It's located... More

Not keen on the interior of this hotel seems old fashioned rather than regal or palatial. Did have a musky smell in the corridor. The service was very good and the breakfast very nice with a great service by the staff. Its in a nice area very central and does offer water taxi if the water level is OK to... More

We had a great stay here. The hotel was very nice, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was great. They also have a great breakfast buffet and afternoon tea complimentary for guests. We'd definitely recommend it to others.

While a bit hard to find, it's actually in a great location with restaurants and shopping very close by. St. Mark's Square is not too far of a walk from the hotel. Rooms all vary in layout and ceiling heights. Great free breakfast and tea time offered!

Not just the ambiance and the beautiful decorated rooms are fantastic, the location at San Angelo Square is also perfect. And there is delicious breakfast served by Guiliano. Our favorite hotel in Venice for the sixt time!

Excellent quiet location not far from vaporetto stop. Easy to walk to anywhere in Venice. Good rooms and helpful staff. Near by restaurants are excellent in quieter piazza. Giuliano was an excellent host at breakfast with attention to everyone's need, remembering their orders from previous day. I think he was glad to speak Italian with us and wisely kept the... More

I reserved a junior suit it was very spacious, but the sofa was very old and consumed a lot and look not clean, also the wash had a problem. It is not attractive as the hotel pictures which gives a shiny image to the customer. The location is bit far from san Marco square and rialto bridge but close to... More

We stayed in the two bedroom deluxe apartment. A real home from home with fully equipped kitchen, which gave us the option of eating in if we wanted. One large bedroom and one smaller bedroom with a sofa bed. Very comfortable stay and helpful staff. Only downside is there is no view from the windows as they look out over... More

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
