We booked this hotel through Hostelbookers and got it at a very reasonable rate for Venice, being right on the island. We travelled in September 2010, not November 2011, but this was the earliest travelling date trip advisor would allow me to select. Given we were a married couple we booked a deluxe private double room for EUR55 per person...

Venice Museum hostel has recently broken and we have been told that it is unsure as to how long it will take to fix it. Therefore the hostel is unable to accommodate guests at the time until the problem has been resolved. You will get the 10% you have paid already refunded and nothing will be charged to your card....

I stayed for 1 night in an 8 Bed Dorm for Eur42 per night (inclusive of breakfast) This is a good budget hostel for backpackers for its price and that too in the center of venice 2 mins walk from the Grand Canal station "St. Toma". Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
