Stayed here for the 3rd time. Extremely satisfied with the ease of moving to and from the Marco Polo Airport because of its location at the Piazzale Roma. Front desk staff Francesco, Marco and Irina sooo accommodating. Breakfast very good choices. Very good quality.

Pros - Location Cons - Staff not welcoming at all. Room given to us had no view and had smell of smoke. Later on after complaining 2-3 times, we go moved to another room. The breakfast was ok, however staff made a lot of noise doing the dishes. I hate giving bad reviews but this hotel failed to impress at...

This was a good choice for a one night pre cruise hotel as it is easy access to the airport shuttle buses and people mover to the terminal. We wanted to be convenient to both and not have to drag our luggage through town and up and down bridges. The hotel fit the bill very nicely. Rooms were clean and...

Just stayed at Hotel Arlecchino for 2 nights May 2017 just coming from a cruise in Venice port. Location, location....this and the Hotel Olympia (they are next to each other) are the 2 best hotels right off of the Piazza Roma bus and train station and the Port of Venice. Makes arriving and departing sooooo easy. I've stayed at both...

Good hotel very close to the airport bus and rail station. Only stayed one night at the end of a holiday. Hotel convenient for the main attractions by walking or water bus / taxi. Clean and excellent wifi which was good to catch up at the end of a holiday

We were guests at the Hotel Arlecchino as a part of our anniversary celebration. The hotel was located right on a main canal & our room had a great view! The entire staff was extremely helpful & the room was very nice! We would definitely stay there again on our next trip to Venice!

Check - In - No problems, very quick.. Was the room clean - Yes, the room was clean. Was the bed comfortable - The bed was a double and comfortable Shower - Was ok. Plenty of hot water. Chose this for the location to the cruise terminal and train station. You can literally just abt see it as you are exiting the train station. And the fact that it actually has an elevator!! We prepaid (nonrefundable) pretty far in advance and were offered breakfast at 1 euro per person. We had read negative reviews citing lack of a...

As a traveler with heavy luggage and a bad knee, I needed a place that offered an elevator. The bellhop carried carried everything up and was delighted with my tip. The room was clean and spacious enough. There is a tub, but nooooooo shower curtain. Good luck with that. Loved the wooden shutters over the windows. After a sleepless plane...

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
