The room was tiny. The bathroom was even smaller - in fact the door wouldn't open fully because it hit the sink. That said, it was comfortable and fine for one night. Breakfast wasn't super as even the breakfast room was small. The staff were...More
With only one bridge to cross with luggage both from the airport and to the cruise ship, the location was ideal! Staff was friendly and room was small but clean. They also let us store our luggage while we toured Venice the morning of our...More
Stayed here for two nights and it's very close to the piazzale roma station (1-2min) walk. Like in other reviews room is very compact and they had no shower curtain which made it very difficult to shower without getting water flooded in the bathroom. Other...More

We stayed for one night prior to leaving for cruise. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean and comfortable. I was surprised with the size of our room, I expected smaller, but it was very comfortable for 4. The lift...More

Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob
in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.

We were also there before boarding a cruise and we had been in Europe for a week already. It was over Easter weekend so the hotel laundry services were not available but I believe they were as expensive as it would be to have them laundered on the cruise ship. We went to the Orange laundromat in Santa Croce which is across the Scalzi bridge from Venice Santa Lucia Railroad Station- really close to the hotel. It is a self-serve laundry but we were able to do our laundry while having dinner outside at the cafe next door (while watching our laundry). It was perfect. It was approximately $7-$10 per load to wash and something similar to dry but we were able to do everything in one load. Happy travels!
I would e-mail the hotel and ask what is necessary first. They are VERY helpful! I used the blow dryer in the room and we had our adaptors for the phones. I just cannot remember which ones we used as we travel quite a bit... More
I would e-mail the hotel and ask what is necessary first. They are VERY helpful! I used the blow dryer in the room and we had our adaptors for the phones. I just cannot remember which ones we used as we travel quite a bit and have several different ones we use. Good luck.
