This place is worth it just on the breakfast alone! Also, everything else is pretty great, location, service, ... but the breakfast is top notch! Tip: if you're taking the water bus to get there don't trust Google maps and ask the hotel.

I was traveling with my two adult daughters and had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Le Isole. The hotel was an easy walk from the taxi/boat and the staff were off with our luggage to the rooms before our check in was even completed! The breakfast was outstanding with eggs and breakfast meat made to order with cakes,...

Great location, clean and reasonable Hotel near St. Marks. Very helpful front desk. Our room above the restaurant was a little noisy, but that wouldn't deter me from staying there again. Try to ask for a room not above the eatery below your room!

Tucked away almost anonymously alongside a venician canal with Gondolas gently trickling by. This compact but bijou boutique hotel is one of those refreshing finds. 5 star staff highlight this jewel..

We spent just 2 nights here, but really enjoyed our stay. Staff was very responsive and accommodating. The room was pretty small, but I expect that's typical for the area and age of the hotel. Very convenient location. Nice selection of fresh foods for breakfast, and excellent quality.

Excellent small hotel close to main attractions in Venice. King bed!! That was not expected. Difficult to find. Even locals haven't heard of it. We got off at the San Zaccaria water bus stop and a porter took us directly there. Good choice to do this. Loved the hotel. Close to everything. Breakfast included in scenic courtyard. Very friendly staff....

Excellent location, lovely rooms and staff. Pretty courtyard which was handy to relax in if you wanted to get away from the busy streets, near to all the major tourist sites and the water bus stop San Zaccaria. Lovely breakfast, free mini bar, exceeded our expectations. Well worth the price but not cheap.

The staff, the rooms, the breakfast, and the location were all 5 stars! We spent five days there and were not the least bit disappointed with our hotel. So close to the key sites, but also to the main water transportation. The super friendly staff can give you pointers on virtually everything. The ladies doing the breakfast made every morning...

Lovely little hotel in Venice. Excellent location literally round the corner from St Mark's square. We had a free minibar which was very nice and the room was outstanding, very clean, comfortable and welcoming. From entering the hotel the staff could not be more welcoming and the friendly, helpful attitude continued until we checked out. Breakfast was very nice indeed...

The Hotel Staff was very friendly and helpful with all aspects of our trip. They helped with transportation, directions, and reservations. Our hotel exit was flooded when we were ready to leave and the front desk assistant went out of his way to make sure we were escorted out the back and knew how to get to our boat without...

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
