The Venice Hotel Savoia & Jolanda is located in the historical center of Venice, a few minutes away from St. Mark Square, in a splendid position along Riva degli Schiavoni, in front of the Venice lagoon, from there it enjoys the unforgettable view of Saint Mark's Basin and the St. George Island. Its position allows one to reach easily the Mercerie and Via XXII Marzo with some of the world's finest shopping and to visit the Venice palaces, museums and the art galleries, lesser-known Venice like the more fascinating and secluded as the Sestiere Castello.

Nestled in a prime location, the Hotel Savoia & Jolanda is lauded for its professional and warm staff, as well as its enchanting mix of elegance and historic charm. Guests have called out the scenic views from well-appointed rooms, although they've noted some elements could benefit from a refresh. The proximity to iconic landmarks like St.
Mark's Square is a highlight for many travelers. While the rooms offer varying comfort levels and the value perceptions differ—some citing overpriced breakfasts—the overall cleanliness and charm of the hotel are consistently praised.

Hotel's Favourite
A perfect location close to Piazza San Marco right on the main waterway. Service from ever staff member was outstanding! The restaurant has some of best food in Venice - and we tried a lot of them! Our room was a little small on the top floor and quite a hike to get to in and around many stairs and hallways but it was all that was left when we booked. We checked out rooms accessible via just the elevator and they were much more spacious so book early!

Stayed in room 206, very spacious and the balcony facing the lagoon is perfect to enjoy sunset.
Location is very convenient, vaporetta station just outside the hotel, less than 8 min walk to Doge's palace, st Mark Square and Basillica. The bridges from the hotel to St Marc are equipped for wheelchair and stroller which a big help for us as our 2.5 years girl was relying on stroller a lot.
The bathtub is amazing but the shower area is poorly design, water
splashes everywhere and wet the floor.
Staffs are attentive esp during breakfast.

Our experience at the hotel was fantastic! The location is close to St. Mark's Square. The interior of the hotel is beautiful, and as soon as you walk in the door you are greeted by a friendly staff. After checking-in the front desk staff escorted us to our room to show us the features, which included two balconies with a view of the lagoon. The room was clean and had plenty of room. We were in Venice to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday, and the staff (and our travel agent) had a bottle of Prosecco and a note waiting in the room. The front desk staff made great recommendations for restaurants, a running route and arranged a trip to Murano. Mattia was particularly helpful in recommending a restaurant to celebrate my husband’s birthday! If we return to Venice, we will definitely stay at Hotel Savoia & Jolanda again! Thank you for making my husband’s birthday one he will never forget!

It was an excellent experience with the hotel from the beginning.
Since we had booked the room until our check out, we had faced only perfect service, friendship and politeness.
The staff made everything to fulfill everything we asked for. We would especially like to thank the receptionist and also the manager of the restaurant during breakfast time who was really nice and friendly and made our day from the beginning.
The hotel itself is easy to reach even if you are in Venice for the first time and is perfectly located right in the centre, a few meters from the piazza San Marco.
Rooms are beautiful, clean and very nicely furnished.
Its restaurant, which is so good looking that you would like to sit and eat there anyway, makes it even more worth the money while hotel guests have a discount for meals there.
We can only highly recommend the hotel to everyone.

The convenience of the location is unparalleled if you intend to spend a lot of time in the San Marco sestiere and want easy access to the vaporetto (water bus). The hotel boasted an elevator but it was so small that I had to collapse my travel walker to get it to fit through the door. It is convenient for luggage however.
I knew from website photos that the rooms were on the small side, but the bathroom shower can accommodate a 6 foot tall person and has a no step entry. Both were important features for our traveling party of five adults .
We could not get lagoon view rooms but I did not anticipate how loud the tiny alley was that our rooms faced and how close the next building was. You can forget about opening your curtains or getting any natural sunlight. (Rooms 108,109,110) It might be better on higher floors. Furniture is sparse and I have to use the only chair in the room as a table for my CPAP machine. Their “nightstand “ is a narrow ledge. On the plus side, there is an outlet on both sides of the bed.
The wall at the foot of our bed is slightly curved and has a good sized wall mounted flat screen tv. However, to get by it without hitting it with a body part, you have to sidle carefully or duck, and I’m only 5’5” tall.
The staff is pleasant and there is an adequate restaurant connected to the building. If you choose to dine outside though, fighting off the pigeons is a constant battle. The breakfast is merely adequate and the staff seems overly stressed at times to keep up. Some of that might still be due to Covid restrictions.
One of the biggest issues our entire party has had to deal with is how hot the rooms are. We could not adjust the bedroom or bathroom thermostats to lower the heat and we’re told by management to just turn them off. While we were out for the day someone was supposed to come address the problem. Apparently they think the solution is to just open the windows, which have no screens. The mosquitoes and stinging insects view that as an invitation. We’ll keep the windows closed, thank you.
All three of our rooms have the same issue.
Avoid a room with a connecting door unless it is with someone in your party. Our neighbors like to listen to Italian tv programs with the volume high enough for me to follow some of the dialogue. Two possible solutions are to one, bring earplugs or noise canceling earbuds, or take the plush bathrobe provided and press it against the floor by the door. It really helps cut down on the noise.
This isn’t an awful place to stay and the lobby is stunningly beautiful. However, just be aware of the above issues and adjust your expectations accordingly.

This hotel is in a prime location to explore Venice. Breakfast outside overlooking the lagoon was very nice. Good service from friendly staff too. Reception and lobby were beautifully done out and my mum and I were amused by the smallest lift we've ever seen, whhich we figured must have been installed in a disused chimney. Our room was clean with a large bathroom with high quality fixtures and fittings and the free bottle of prosecco for all guests was a real winner! The only downside to our room was the view from the window, straight into another window and a grey wall just a few feet away, but these things can't be helped I suppose. As usual with these places you have to pay a massive premium for the large luxury rooms with the best views! Just two small drawbacks. 1) both my mother and I found the shower floor slippery as it slopes towards the drain, maybe some adhesive non slip pads on the shower floor especially as there a no grab handles to steady one's self. And 2) tea and coffee facilities provided but no milk. We asked and were left two of those small pods so they obviously have it but for some reason don't provide it, also two is not enough for the British tea drinkers who want a brew after a day out, getting back after dinner and in the morning before breakfast. But all in all this hotel was really really nice and I would stay again!

This hotel is in an enviable position overlooking the lagoon but near the grand canal and St Marks square. Easy to walk everywhere and travel by water from the pontoons.
We booked the trip through Easyjet and were very pleased with our choice , they arranged a shared water taxi from airport which was a great start to the holiday with only 6 of us in speed boat.
Right from the moment we arrived at the hotel the service was impeccable, welcoming and professional.
We chose to stay in a Junior suite with a balcony to sit out on. It did not disappoint, the room was large and comfortable , traditional with a modern twist. Everything was so spotlessly clean, an enormous bathroom with two sinks,a large jacuzzi bath and rain shower (in the bath).
There were lots of little extra touches like a Lavazza coffee machine , fridge ,toiletries ,etc.
There were not many negatives , wardrobe was hard to open and drawers, only one socket to use a two pin adaptor in (including the coffee machine and kettle), no channels in English on TV except world news, and maybe something could be done to improve the soundproofing between out room and one next door.
We never complained about these things because all the good things about the hotel were above and beyond.
The young lady who constantly topped up the breakfast buffet needs a special mention she worked tirelessly with a smile. All the staff were courteous and so helpful.
We would definitely visit this hotel again.

We stayed here for 3 nights in a suite and a superior room. The hotel has a very good location a few steps from St Marks Square, immediately in front is a vaporetto station, and a lagoon view from our suite. That said, the hotel is old and tired (more like exhausted). It looks like its been suffering from plenty of deferred maintenance. It has a plumbing problem, as confirmed by an employee. Our daughter had to switch rooms twice due to the carpeting in her room being very wet. One of the window panels in our suite did no close, and at about 5am it got very bright in the room. The staff covered the window with a curtain and the next day switched the bad shutter with a functioning one on the other side of the room. Still the bad shutter did not operate in its new location and it got very bright in the room at about 5am. The daily rate at this old hotel for a suite and a superior room is very expensive. For the price you can stay in a much better and nicer property.

We enjoyed our time once again we returned for a second stay. The room, staff and accommodations are remarkable. They all remembered us even the hosts for dining remembered my food allergies. This time we phoned to request a room with a view if possible, we were happy a room was available a little bit more than we'd like.. We do recommend booking online to avoid issues at checkout our room fee increased maybe an error quoted to us over the phone. We did follow up and we completely trust Hans investigating and we will be back.

Unfortunately I didn't use the laundry service si can't help.
Dear gorettil3,
Thank you for reaching out.
Once landed, you need to exit the airport and walk around 10 minutes to reach the pier where you can catch a private water taxi. It costs 130€ ca. for two persons. It takes 30 minutes to reach to hotel.
Otherwise, you can catch the public waterbus (Alilaguna-Line Blue): each ticket costs 15€. It takes 1h and 15min to reach the hotel. You need to get off at San Zaccaria stop, the hotel is right in front.
Please contact us directly via email for more info.
