Hotel is very classy, maybe a little bit old-fashioned. Rooms are a little noisy (old building). Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was, especialy for Italy, very good with a nice buffet. More local food would be nice.

This hotel is a 3 minute walk from the train station and less than 10 mins from the bus stations. I picked this location because this being my 2nd trip to Venice, I did not want to carry my luggage all over town, on a crowded boat or pay someone to deliver it or pay more for a water taxi....

Stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and although I was dreading the rustic red carpet and drapes room, I actually fell in love with it! It was quite quaint! I stayed in room 406 and it had the best view ever! I will attach photos for your perusal. The location is sensational with amazing views, close to the water...

Dearest Anjana, thank you for publishing your review on your recent stay at Boscolo Hotel Bellini. We apologize if you felt disappointed with the limited dimensions of our accommodation, but this feature along with the irregular architecture is a typical characteristic of historical Venetian buildings. Please let us clarify once again that our hotel is hosted in a XVIII century...

My husband and I stayed at this lovely classic hotel for 3 nights as part of a tour group. The room was comfortable though the lifts were very small (at most only 4 adults would fit) and very slow. The stairs can also be quite confusing so take some time to familiarise yourself with the hotel layout. There is a...

This hotel is literally about 100 steps from the Santa Lucia train station so totally convenient if this is how you're traveling here. The vaporetto is also just outside and down about 100 steps from this hotel, so as far as being close to transportation, you're literally right on top of it. Tons of cafes, restaurants, shops, etc., everywhere you...

Venice was the 3rd city we visited and stayed for 3 nights on our Trafalgar tour. First impression of the hotel was not good as the odour from the canals was throughout the hotel and smelt like raw sewage. Drain vents in the passage way let the odours into the hotel and smelt pretty bad most of the time. I...

I booked this hotel because of its location just next to the venezia Santa Lucia station and It didn't disappoint me. Front staffs are helpful and best service mind. My room is large, quiet, super clean and visible grand canal view. I could take photos of beautiful grand canal view from balcony. Lift is quite tiny and slow. Lobby sometime...

Booked this visit at the last minute on the end of a work trip. The hotel was absolutely perfect. Two minutes outside of the train station on the left, so easy to get to and beautiful inside! On arrival the staff were extremely helpful and spoke fluent English which was really appreciated! Strongly recommended.

Just a one night solo stay after a cruise had me book a single room (of which there are 3 or 4 in the hotel). Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
