Tucked away on a small street a few blocks from San Marco's Square, its a charming and quiet mid priced hotel. Great courtyard and friendly and helpful staff. A short walk and you'll find yourself lost in Venice. There's nothing better.
We spent one night in Venice, so I decided to stay at Hotel Flora because of a friend's review and what I'd read in guide books and trip advisor. I also booked online, and I got the cheapest room. I didn't think it would matter,...More
The hotel was extremely clean and centrally located. The manager was very helpful in arranging our dinner. The breakfast arrangement was one of the finest that I have had in Italy. I would highly recommend this hotel. Buon Viaggio.
I have to say that some of the negative reviews actually break my heart, because I love the Flora and the staff. I've stayed at least 25 times at the Flora and their small boutique B&B "Novecento" since 1998. Coming to the Flora is like...More
This little hidden hotel in an old venetian palace is family run, very personal, has the old charme of ancient years combined with the amenities of a very good matress, a new sink/shower in the bathroom, but old stylish furnitures. A beautiful inside garden and...More
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
