Nothing on the fancy side, but rooms were clean and provided bed, bathroom and lights. Breakfast was very simple but fine. Staff very friendly and helpful, so though we found the price to be very high maybe we paid most for the location which was...More
Very easy to find, just a 2 minute walk from San Zaccaria water stop. Friendly reception staff made us feel very welcome, spoke English. We arrived early but our room was ready so could get straight in. They do offer luggage store though and we...More
It is my distinct pleasure to review the Commercio and Pellegreino. The Commercio and Pellegrino Hotel is located very close to the Piazza San Marco. If you like to be very close to the center of the city this hotel is for you....More
After a water bus it was a 2 second walk and perfect location. Hotel is small, friendly but offer a 5 star welcome. We could not ask for more, free breakfast that was a breakfast with the coffee juices and bread to toast, and so...More
Amazing location. So close to the square and to many eating places nearby.
Fast attentive service, clean rooms.
Run away from the neighbouring restaurants which are tourist traps but go for the small coffee shops.
Definitely a place to return

Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a
strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.

this is a Hotel with rooms only. transport direct to the airport is very easy on the waterbus which is literally one minute from the hotel. i would say its by far the easier route as the train station is the other end of the island and you would need to get a water bus there anyway.

Good morning, we regret but is not possible for us to arrange a transfer but if you wish we can help you booking a private water taxi even if the public transportation is really confortable and not far from the hotel. Just note that a private taxi is more expensive than the public boat Alilaguna.
Always at your disposal

We took the Alilaguna at a cost of €15 each, yes a ten minute walk but well signposted, flat and easy to do. Buy ticket when you enter baggage hall. We boarded within minutes of arriving and the journey took one hour thirty five minutes and we really enjoyed it. Once at San Zaccaria cross the bridge to the left, more of a ramp than a bridge, then first right, hotel on the left. Have a fabulous holiday.
