San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

Stayed here with my husband in Nov for a celebration getaway. So easy to find after arriving on a water taxi James Bond-esque! Front of house staff were lovely- polite and always there. We stayed on 3rd floor, going up the slanting steps - oh if these stairs could talk, the

I'll copy the title of another review. They are all correct. Hotel Centauro is right by Rialto Ferry Terminal. Taking Arrancia line from the airport, there is no bridges to carry your luggage over. From Rialto Ferry Terminal, there is one small bridge to cross. It is tucked

which is the best way to get from Treviso airport
If using water taxi to train station then taxi I’d allow at least an hour. If private water taxi direct to Marco Polo then I think a little less - 45 minutes plus long walk to actual airport building from water taxi stop at Marco Polo airport

Hiya, there is no bar in the hotel itself, but plenty of sweet restourants in 3-5 min walk. If you are used to having a drink in a comfort of your pwn room, maybe this is point to discuss with hotel stuff:)
