A cute little hotel in a great location. Just 2 minutes from San Marco square.
The room was comfy enough, but not a lot of space... we found it fine for us though.
So easy to wonder the streets of Venice from this hotel.
We arrived from the airport via watertaxi to St Mark's terminal. Entrance to lane off St Mark's Square, leading to hotel a little difficult to find but you simply need to turn at the Olivetti typewriter museum and cross the bridge. The hotel is up...More

This is the epitome of false advertising. The pictures on booking.com boast space and style, but it's not that way in real life. Everything is terrible, from the decor to the rooms to the breakfast. The rooms are pokey and small and are so dirty!!!!!...More
A truly great Venetian experience.
Staff were friendly and helpful, the ambience of the hotel is fabulous, steeped in history but comfortable, clean and fresh. Decor is splendid, breakfast delicious and family room a generous size. The hotel was convenient for access to airport links...More
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

This was a major concern for us as well...quite frankly, transportation that doesn't involve walking always has an issue when in Venice. We had a prepaid water taxi, which took us to near the San Gallo, and by that I mean it landed on the docks south of St Mark's Square, and we walked with luggage to the hotel. (Sounds worse than it was). We used Consorzio Motoscafi and I found the service efficient, but expensive (granted, hard to find the prepaid boats when exiting the train station...out and to the left along the water. They sent pictures that helped)
A fair concern...but part of the charm of Italy is inconvenience, which is somehow charming.
The hotel personnel were all very helpful. Call and I am sure they will have ideas.
