We live in Italy and visit Venice often usually trying different hotels in different areas. This hotel is lovely and clean and the staff is very helpful. Although many things are closed in January in Venice, there are no crowds or lineups in museums and one feels the uniqueness of the city. The hotel is also very close to the...

dear andrinal2017, as you wrote, January is a month during which some places in town may be closed. but at the same time, there are not so many visitors, so somehow to visit Venice is more convenient. we thank you for your kind words, and wish you all the best, marianna serandrei

Ca' Pisani is a beautiful hotel situated in a perfect location when visiting Venice. It is quiet, spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and provides an excellent breakfast with many choices. Overall, I cannot find any fault with it.

Located near Academia and not far from Peggy Guggenheim museum. The room and bathroom were perfectly designed and organized. What was absolutely amazing-transformer in the bathroom that allowed direct charging of USA devices (smartaphones etc)..I wish it was available at all hotels outside USA. Breakfast was great. Ca Pisani has a great location ideally suited for exploring Venice. We found walking the best way to get around, just wandering along the little narrow streets and seeing where you end up is a real joy. Its very easy to orientate where you are from Ca Pisani with the Acadamia Bridge very close by. The Hotel is very well...

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
