We enjoyed every aspect of this hotel- a beautifully modernized historic building. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Spacious lobbies on each floor were well furnished, had interesting period artworks. There were books, facilities for making hot drinks including a coffee machine. The doors to each room appeared to have individual marquetry designs. The bed was comfortably firm with pristine linen; the...

We loved our stay. The double room was very spacious for our toddler and had great amenities. The room was always clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed it being so close to all the tourist attractions but far enough away to avoid crowds. The breakfast was beyond expectations and had so many choices. We would certainly stay...

dear Kayla B, I read your review with interest and a smile because when our guests are happy about their stay it means that the entire staff have done a good job. about washcloths, because in the bathrooms we already place quite a few sizes of towels, we give mitts ('manopole', in Italian) on request. we hope to welcome you...

Quite somewhat secluded stay outside of the chaotic tourism of Venice, yet close to everything. Very good included breakfast with a variety. Friendly staff. Nice size rooms. The beds are not comfortable, scratchy sheets but other than that it was a fine stay.

It was my wife's first visit to Venice and it could not have been any better. The hotel is situated very close to the water bus stop and walking distance to all the major sites. The staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection and the best coffee I've had in a hotel.

Just came back from a 2 night stay at the Ca' Pisani Hotel. What a wonderful hotel it is. From the moment we arrived until the time we left the staff were very attentive and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. The room was very clean and had everything needed for a short stay including bathrobes and slippers. Breakfast...

Wow! We had the most awesome experience staying at Ca'Pisani. The staff were fantstic. They helped us with phones calls and water taxi's. They also offered suggestions of places to eat. It is a small hotel which allows the staff to really focus on you. They have a fantastic breakfast bar with a variety of food options. Hotel decor was...

We spent five nights at Ca Pisani and really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very clean and comfortable. Good sized bathroom with jacuzzi bath and large shower. Only small negatives were bed was a bit too firm for our liking and AC/heating was a bit noisy but worked well enough. The staff were great - very nice people...

Ca' Pisani is a definite recommend. Lovely building in a good site. All staff were kind and caring and, despite the fact that most of them spoke good English, put up with me trying my Italian. Good clean well decorated room. Free drinks on arrival and free boat trip to glass blowing factory excursion offered (though our itinerary didn't allow...

Fantastic location right by the Academia bridge and easily accessible for both the airport water bus and the Grand Canal water bus. The hotel was clean and the staff couldn't do enough to assist. Breakfast was a good range of food, Im veggie and gluten free but there was plenty of choice. The restaurant is closed in winter so we...

This was our first trip to Venice and we were not disappointed one bit! The hotel is in a great quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle yet you are not far from restaurants and cafes etc. The hotel was spotless and the staff could not do enough, especially the reception staff who were on hand for any questions....

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
