Thsi hotel is located in a very pleasant area and its proximity to The Accademia Bridge makes it a very convenient place to stay. It is very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. The staff in the hotel were really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel staff are lovely very helpful and go the extra mile. We arrived on Monday 27/4/15 to a free upgrade of room for my partners 30th birthday and they had a bottle of Italian wine in the room waiting for us which was lovely. The hotel is very central, a lovely walk to macro square. Nice and quite area...

We have just returned from an end of April stay in Venice. Our hotel was sited in Dorsoduro, within walking distance of most of the city attractions but in a slightly less expensive area than the centre. A small and neat hotel, quiet at night, very well decorated with very attentive staff. Breakfast was very good, bar prices a little...

We were delighted with our welcome and with everyone on the staff; Our flight got us in 12 hours late, but the wonderful staff was waiting outside for us and welcomed us so warmly that we almost forgot about the awful trip. We then found the waiting Prosecco and even drank some. Everyone was not merely pleasant but also anxious to be...

Superb stay. Staff couldn't do enough for us and were polite and attentive at all times. Great location - close to Accademia and Zattere water stops and 10 mins walk from St Marks. Stefano rang our Tour operator and clarified some details which was really appreciated. Rooms very tidy - floors have tea/coffee making stations. You can also get 10%...

dear 949astra, thank you very much for your nice and detailed review. I am glad you liked our location, the staff, our tidy rooms and the tea stations on each floor (the idea behind them being to feel at home far from your home). and - on the food side - I am glad you appreciated the richness of our...

Recruitment and training of staff is exemplary. A warm welcome and excellent facilities made our experience really memorable. This hotel is in one of the most convenient parts of the city, a stones throw from the centre but much quieter than those on the other side of the Grand Canal. There is a wonderful choice for breakfast and staff make...

We stayed at the Ca'Pisani in April 2015. We arrived via vaporetto and the location was ideal. It is right next to the Accademia bridge and its vaporetto stop so we didn't have to drag our suitcases through venice searching for a hotel. We quickly found Ca'Pisani and were immediately greeted warmly by the staff, escorted to our room, and...

dear FunNSun86, thank you very much for your nice review and the extensive description. as you pointed out, location and breakfast are both two important aspects of the hotel. regarding the temperature, when you were here we were in the process of switching the air conditioning off and the heating on, and this is not an operation which can be...

Wife and I stayed for 3 nights in April. We had a large suite with hallway, big bathroom and bedroom. Loved the old art deco furniture but the bed did creak somewhat. Breakfast was very good with very helpful staff. One of the biggest positives for this hotel is the location. Less than 100yds from Accademia bridge was perfect. Near...

Stayed in late April, gorgeous weather ... Ca' Pisani was well maintained and presented, in a great location for transport and central Venice. The staff were all attentive and couldn't have been more helpful. The room was small but beautiful; we didn't have any meals in the hotel other than breakfast but the quality and choice were superb. Thoroughly recommended.

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
