A real gem of a hotel. The location is great, just a few minutes walk from Piazza San Marco. Our first floor superior room had a tiny balcony overlooking the Moise Canal and from where we could watch what was happening on the water. There...More
This was our last hotel in a long list of them and it was wonderful.
We where in room11 on the first floor with a balcony over the canal and a gondola stop, it really added to the experience of our stay in Venice.

The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and
Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.

the two least expensive ways are ACTV bus to Piazzale Roma, and then vaporetto to the San Marco Giardinetti (line no.2) or Vallaresso (line no.1) stops (€14p.p.), or else Alilaguna boat to the San Marco Giardinetti stop (€15p.p.). From Either San Marco Giardinetti or San Marco Vallaresso it is then a quick 5 minute walk to reach the hotel.
